Skunk2 springs/16 konig heliums/diy intake/megan axle back

I am a beginner of this. What's the different between the DIY intake and intakes from brands? I know cost will be one of the different, but how about performance and will the DIY one cause the problem of the engine?

 

I'm not an expert by any means but i would say the big difference would be just the cost and the performance. The DIY intake is more or less just a short ram intake and the only real performance you will notice is increase noise coming from under your hood. Now if you are looking for HP then i would go for a CAI (aspec, aem, injen, fujitsu). Even though the gains are minimal, if its performance then i would go that route.

As for engine problems, i have not experienced any. (knock, knock) ONLY way you would get any CEL's is if you dont install the sensor properly.

 

in my experience, from a number of my friend's cars and my own, having gone the DIY intake route, there is most definitely an increase in horsepower AND mpg.

a couple friend's have actually dyno'd their cars after we made their intakes, one had a z28 camaro and the other a 92 rx-7, both made around 7-9 hp.

in the fit, i DID notice an increase in power and my mpg went up.

Sweet. Those are the springs I want to lower my car on, too. Btw, nice sig. Didn't think anyone listened to Slapshot anymore. I especially like that someone is wearing an In My Eyes shirt in the shot.

 

I would have to say i am really please with the skunk2 springs, you should definitely pick them up.

Its glad to see someone appreciate's the sig. Slapshot is one of my all time favorite bands as well as In My Eyes. I think that shot is from the 2005 posi numbers in wilkes barre, pa. I really wish i had gone that year......

 

any rubbing at all with the springs and wheels set up? also is it posible to get some shots durring the day so we can see what your wheel gap looks like

Sure thing. Actually this weekend I am going to get some nicer pics. I will definitely get some side shots and up close shots so you can see the gap. Only time i rub is when i hit a really bad dip or bump, but keep in mind this is only when i have 2 passangers in the car.

Looks good! Nice color choice on the wheels, always a safe choice with that paint job. Tint is gonna set it off nicely.

I was originally looking into getting some gt3's with an andonized blue or red lip, but the the deal i got with the heliums was one i couldnt pass up.
