Fit got a Bath!

just figured I would post up a couple shots. cleaned the fit after all the rain and trip to tahoe, and took off the snowboard racks. Havent taken any pics since fog lights went back in, mugen style visors installed, but i think maybe the drop and JDM LED smoke/red tails I have posted

just thought I'd share

Your car is looking good! Very nice and simple with the drop and JDM tails.

On a side note:
It's gotta be nice to have a nice, clean car. I don't wash my car here at college because I don't want to pay to use someone else's water. Plus the weather has been real yuck lately.

sadly, it does. At least my accord is pretty quick. All of them are 4 bangers, but the accord has signifigant mods everywhere, but I like stuff simple and clean.

BTW, I REALLY hate the paint on the fit. My accord almost has 9 years on the paint, and it looks better unwashed than the fit looks washed. Its like they sped the cars through the paint assembly area as fast as it would go. Like super thin, chips easy, hairline lil scrapes show more. I always wash/wax my cars by hand (occasional shell car wash when I'm Lazy). Or I would have my detailers(before I got laid off) or my gf's detailers do the cars for me. I give them the keys when we are slow, buy em a soda and a snack, and I have a fully hand washed, and dried car, I just supplied the microfibers.

And, the fit is a dirt magnet. Instead of having a pussy magnet installed like in borat, mine has a dirt magnet. It just attracts it. I bet when my girl gets back from work shit will be dirty again already. And even on silver lookin dirty, I dunno how you guys with black, or any dark colors survive. I think the fit was really meant to be made in WHITE only or somethin(which sucks cuz they didn't have white in 08). End of mini rant

Your Fit looks great and we on the east coast are jealous because we have had rain, ice, sleet, and snow for the past several days. My Fit has been in the garage for the past two days because I got a ride with one of my friends so it would not have to push snow!

I have cleaning supplies for cars like emelda marcos has shoes. Seriously, I think I have 4 of those big storage containers with snap on lids, filled with stuff, and the 4-5 meguiars and ICE brand entire gift kits, and 200 microfibers, drying blade, 4 wheel brushes and pads, I see stuff on sale I buy it, only good brand stuff. Kind of a whore for car/bike/truck/boat cleaning goodies, since I'm all about the toys. Especially McGuiars stuff.

BTW, my car wasn't even that shiny when I bought it. It was still in plastic wrap and had the cosmolene crap on it, I said "make it quick, this is the trim, color, package" and they gave it to me just over exact dealer cost, just like my accord and RR. I always get hooks on cars. Was like a 1 hour purchase process.

i hear you about the paint on the fits, when im detailing by hand and i polish just a little harder, i end up with scratchs....

BTW: How did the fit perform going up to tahoe? When I went couple weeks ago I really thought of taking the fit but the power issue really made me think twice.

You have to keep like 75mph+ goin up the hill in 4th if you have AT sport. It should be roughly the same sweet spot for momentum in a stick. Fully loaded, I mean FULLY, whole rear you couldn't see out of from gear, yakima rack, 4 boards, 4 full sized people, and I just had to drop to 3rd or 2nd when you hit that one car goin 25mph up the hill. Takes a lot of reading the lanes. I would think it would be more fun if you were goin up 50, just cuz its windy. Fit did fine. And we stayed up at squaw valley at the lodge at base camp, the fit handled it like a champ, even though hwy 80 is some of the worst pavement ever on that big and heavily traveled of a highway. I had the Satellite radio bumpin the whole time, it makes 3+ hour trips much more fun. And the windows were cracked most of the time. The visors really helped. Although my fairing on the yakima rack actually moved because its like 8 years old and the wind resistance pushed it back a lil bit. but no noise even. With that much weight in the car its the smoothest its ever ridden. got 24-25mpg up the hill at wot 4th gear, and over 40+ going down the hill. The gas bill was cheapest part of my weekend

Thats how my RR is, as soon as I spend over an hour cleaning it, I could walk inside to get my camera and a beer, and I come out, and its covered in dust, pollen, you name it. Its all black with gunmetal tribal flames honda wing on the side. I have to keep fresh boxes of microfibers at all times.

And as for the cars, I cant go more than a couple weeks with a dirty car. I used to hand wash once a week, and wax every 3 months, now I am like, okay, not enough dirt buildup, its silver, nobody can see it. Feel like a bad parent or something, but OCTOBER, I couldn't do that to my cars. Although I used an auto wash for my accord this week, feel like a bastard. I hand wash the fit and quickie the accord.
