CuTeBoi's picture trail..?

Hiya, finally got all my photos online, and resized as needed. I didn't edit them, just a resize.

Funny thing about my car is, I'm the only person to have 3 body kits, I have the stock base kit, the sports kit, and the custom one I have been using daily now.

Interesting no?

I've traveled across the country in my Fit, as far north as Illinois and south Texas, and I'm local to the west coast. I have yet to travel to the East coast, and I hope to travel to Kentucky and Florida later this year.

Hope things turn out for the best. Check out some of these teaser shots. And check out my personal list of pictures at:

http://www.legendro.net/~anthony/images/fitfreak/

The current slide show is the "fittrail" archive, and if you have cooliris from http://www.cooliris.com then you will enjoy the 3d view of my car, and the wall of photos I have going on.

My Son as of January 10th, 2009... He's getting bigger =D

I think the body kit reminds me of a subaru STI bumper set... I like it, it is decent, and it's functional too. I use the funnels on the side of the bumpers.

They help get some extra air flow into the engine bay through the inlets in the bay.

The retrofit was done by Smeister, he does a great job for retros.

Thanks for the reply <3

All three are shown there =D

Stock base is my fave, stock sport kit is... ok, I like the fog lights... but that's about it. I don't like the lip on it.

The Sports kit was trashed, a piece of tire hit it on the highway at about 65mph... pretty epic.

that kit's not bad

Do you plan on doing anything else to it?

Minor suspension, lightweight wheels and good tires will make it an even better commuter i think.

Better than Toyo Proxes?

I may swap out rims, but not any time soon, I like the stock wheel look. Lighter rims? not too big on that. Suspension is perfect as it is, I don't have the torque to require better suspension, and I grip damn well with Proxes, sadly, I've got proxes on the back only, and my fronts had to be replaced with cheap meat. Waiting for the back tires to hit the wear line and I will be replacing all the tires again with either the t1r or the proxes 4 again.

Stock fit suspension= way too soft, way too much body roll, center of gravity is too high

Stock fit wheels= too heavy, too narrow, too high of an offset

Stock fit tire size=too much sidewall > sidewall flex ftl = subpar handling performance

For me anyways, but if you're happy i guess..

I've gone with the wider 205-55 with 40psi to get the flat surface that I believe has been helpful on gripping at the track.

Soon I'll have the Progress RSB installed by SlimJim in the next few weeks that will reduce body roll. The stock suspension is perfect as I don't want a completely bumpy ride along the way for my daily driver. If this was for track only, I would swap out for something much stiffer, and I would have lighter rims, with some smaller tires to be tighter.

For a daily driver/commuter, the stock suspension is quite comfortable, and still capable of handling the potholes on the I880 in Fremont, hayward, highway 92 to cross the san mateo bridge, and the 101 which has been going through MAJOR construction. Parts of 880 and 101 are still horrible with the stock suspension, due to the fact that the potholes are somewhat deep.

The stock parts are great, the only change I made to the stock suspension is the actual tires, they made the biggest change. The next biggest change is the RSB.

And I've checked in with other tracking FitFreaks, and they agree, Tires and RSB are the best change one could make to a stock looking fit.

Oh yeah man,the RSB definitely made a difference for me. It's stupid easy to put on too. 2 screws to take off and like 5 to put on and you're done.

Haha but I'm just hard to satisfy man.

You wont find anyone in this forum that hates the fit more than i do, but yet I still continue to mod it haha

Those potholes, killed my lower control arms... I'm still waiting on my new ones though the mail.

As for tires, I'm currently on the 205/55/15 and personally I miss the old tires acceration vs this added grip. But since it's just tires, just swap out once you killed them.

And Anthony, I still need to free up some time to help you with your install, but hopefully it be in a few weeks time. I'll give you a call once I do. If I remember, anytime after 5pm or was it before 5pm?
