So damn sweet.

shazaam 07-30-2009 10:53 AM

 How can you say that it fits perfect? I haven't seen the bay on a GE in person yet, but without knowing what has to be cut you never know how perfect it fits...

TurboManGT 07-30-2009 02:17 PM

Sexy motor!!! I love that intake, I need something like that for my GD

itFITz 07-30-2009 02:18 PM

str8 sex !

dewthedew 07-30-2009 02:48 PM

Literally, indeed.

From the looks of things the motor definitely had to come in from the bottom; no chance it's going to fit from the hood/bonnet opening.

I don't think the K20A fits better in the GE than in the GDs. I imagine the challenge was greater with the newer car. There's just not much room for error there. And I also shudder to think how much of the frame rail had to be cut or notched just to do this. :( I mean, I'm all for cool swaps but I frown on cutting/notching critical areas of the chassis.

Suzi_q 07-31-2009 03:44 AM

Damn that engine sounds awesome!

Jazz it up! 07-31-2009 10:11 AM

wow, IDK how you guys did it, but looks like a pretty clean swap. Despite the GE engine bay being smaller, you made it look like it's stock. :D

kenchan 07-31-2009 10:16 AM

dang, looks good! :)

Fallen_Rock 07-31-2009 10:29 AM

It seems like it would fit better in a USDM GE8 because of the master cylinder being on the other side of the motor. you couldn't run that sweet intake but there would be more room for the k20.

polaski 07-31-2009 11:02 AM

Hope it has iridium plugs in it. I'm not changing them

515 08-06-2009 04:10 AM

Love it.. must be a tight squeeze on that k20.
wonder if there's any space left for engine movement on high rev.

Negra Modelo 08-07-2009 08:51 PM

Does anyone know what wheels those are?

Felixman 08-08-2009 10:42 AM

Felixman 08-08-2009 01:46 PM

topsk8er 09-13-2009 02:16 PM

ummm. Can someone explain to me how an automatic can possible work for this?

515 09-13-2009 09:21 PM

I believe is not Automatic trans anymore, those pics of the interior were prob taken before the engine swap.

xm8 02-07-2010 04:06 PM

How much had to be cut to get a K20A in there?

Look at the first row, first pic, then first row second pic. Dash is different. I bet he bought it auto, n when he did the swap, converted to manual.

FITMugen 02-07-2010 06:15 PM

It is a manual. There is another K20A swap in Thailand now.

ViNZx_xD 02-12-2010 02:34 PM

damn..datz gonna be a fast Fit...

X2, there is definitely a clutch/flywheel combo pictured here as well.

fjt 02-18-2010 10:30 PM

Can you share how you did the swap? Do you need custom mounts? I have been waiting for this. I actually emailed Hasport and they said they were not going to do the mounting kits...

FITMugen 02-18-2010 10:41 PM

K20A swap

You can see details here. This is the secind car I saw so far.

ekonetics 02-18-2010 10:44 PM

I was told by Hasport to contact them in a year and see if things change. I wouldn't mind being a donor car as well, so I'm just waiting until next year around this time to contact them again. Going to stiffen up the chassis now and hope that their will be enough interest in the future to be feasible.

prolly won't produce them. only people doing the swaps in the states it seems are shops and the cars are show or track cars. not to many kids out there with the money to buy a new fit and do a swap that'll cost them nearly half the cars value...

I'm trying to compete with the local Hasport sponsored Fit that's k-swapped and supercharged. Also a f-swapped Fit if kylerwho ever tries it, so I'm just trying to fit in. Custom mounts may be the way I go.

As told by hasport they said that the GD kits are basically getting rotten on their warehouse and they havent sold to many of these kits... hence their decision not to produce the GE kit.
I asked if they would do one for me and they said no... not even 10 kits...
