Put Swift springs on the car, figured I'd try a set of wheels I had from my last car, I'm guessing its going to rub, but I figured I try them anyway, then go from there on buying different wheels.

I'm working under the hood on mine now and will be replacing the stock front bumper with one that is a Mugen copy. It will sit 1" lower than stock so I am going to have to adjust the coilovers a bit stiffer at the springs, dampers and add height so as to not tear it up.... It will be right at stock height because of the 205-50-16" wheels and tires...I am doing a mess of other stuff to it and will post some pictures when complete...

The dark silver is the best looking colour in a Fit, the black is nice too, but I'm starting to have good fellings about having a Silver GD3!

I've had a set of 15"X7" 41mm offset RPF1s since 2009 and love the difference that they make... They will rub a little if you don't bend the tabs that attach inner fender liner to the fender... I was using 195/55/15" Conti Pro Contact tires... Using a larger, wider tire will require cutting off the tabs, cutting off the sides of the plastic fender liner and gluing it into place on the inner part of the steel finder. You will then be ready to have the fender pulled and rolled if more room is needed.

Thanks for the advice! Love the black rpf1s on the ssm. I recently bought a gd3 about a week ago, got a great deal. Thinkin I wanna get wheels and tires on before I do coilovers just so I can get fitment perfect. Would it make any difference in the order I choose to do it? Might be a silly question, but I'm kind of new to this...been driving a jeep for the last 6 years lol

I would do both at the same time so you will get a better alignment on new tires... The grille that is on the SSM Fit is a J's or J's copy That car looks pretty much like mine with the painted fog lamp covers and grill between them... I have a set of Swift Springs that I drove about 18000 miles on and need to sell... I had to get coilovers because of the entrances to most parking lots have too steep an approach angle for my car when it had the stock springs. I have a replica J's grille I'll be installing on a replica Mugen one piece front bumper. It is longer vertically than the stock front lip so my car will have to be an inch higher off of the ground than when stock which doesn't bother me.. I'm just getting around to doing some mild cosmetic changes to it after owning it for close to 6 years...

Guess I'll save up for both and do it all at the same time then. Thanks for that, I had been wondering the best approach to that. Gonna be a little while before I have the money for the coilovers...one thing at a time.

Thanks for the grille link! Not sure if I'll go that direction or not but it looks so clean.

I'll have to post pictures as soon as I get wheels and tires and coilovers put on. Not wanting to do too many mods. Just keep it real tasteful!
