The color on the silver storm looks so different from picture to picture - sometimes pure silver, others with a blue tinge. What does it really look like?

 

macks75 - what are those side moldings you have on your fit??????

clbsea - it depends on the light really - but its just a pure silver, the brigher the sun, the more "metallic" it looks, the more overcast - the more "grey" it looks - I love it. Just the right look - I was almost going to get a BOM, but I wanted something that didn't stand out as much. I was worried with some of the places I have to park it that the BOM would scream out "KEY ME!!!!"

 

Depends on the silver, actually. Different countries get different choices. In the US, it's Storm Silver Metallic (a bit darker silver), in Canada they have SSM plus Alabaster Silver Metallic (a more typical silver), etc. etc.

not a big fan of body kits.....i would get the noblesse kit if i could afford it

Thought I'd ask on the Storm Silver thread whether anyone is having problems with peeling paint. I keep reading about the problem and wondered if we should try to pinpoint which cars were affected. Seems like I'm seeing more posts from VBP owners. I took delivery on April 20, have over 10 K on my Storm Silver Sport AT, and no problems with the paint. I clean bugs off the bumper on a daily basis (Meguiars detail spray works great), so I think I'll catch it if it's happening. I'm keeping my Fit washed and waxed regularly and have no complaints about the paint.

 

I saw a small spot between the rear bumper and body when I unscrewed the bumper piece at the wheel well. It was only on one corner, and I used washers to space them all out to prevent it in the future.
