my favorite thing about the car/driver....... is that he and his followers all believe his offsets are secret but in actuality he has no fkn clue. at first glance of his car you're like WOW!!! then you're like wow...... thats it?

trancedsailor, i like the green rims, looks good and different, what did you use to smoke the tails?.
maybe you should change you sig pic, because it looks like its taken from a camera phone. and thats probably the reason why its not giving your wheels justice.

I used VHT Nite Shades to tint my fake-JDM tails. They look like shit up close though. I should've had a pro do it. There's a lot of weird scratches in it and I get lots of negative comments about it. Oh well it looks good from 10+ feet away lol

I'll change my sig pic later. I detailed my car all night and I'll take pics this morning before the car show.

yeah the clear replica's i got used, the clear plastic is a little yellowed and it bothers me. so i was thinking either to try to wet sand it and use plastX to see if it makes it clear again or attempt to smoke it.. that VHT Nite Shade looks like it makes it toooo dark though.

why is the spray job junk? is there like parts where you sprayed too much?

 

It looks too dark because I sprayed 2 coats lol. And it looks like ass because I didn't do any prep-work at all besides soap and water. I should've wetsanded. I wonder if I could actually sand OFF the tint and try again? Don't wanna buy another set of tails, and if I do, it's gonna be REAL jdm and not gonna tint them.

 

yeah you can wet sand the tint off, and respray

i know, i shouldve bought the real ones instead too. ahah. my gf keeps rubbing it in. i was being hella cheap and reading koolkev's DIY to fix the fitment issues made me get some replicas.

 

shit, I don't have time before the show this morning to respray. Guess I'll just do it next weekend when I have time. Thanks for the tip! And replicas aren't bad at all, in fact I don't think the real JDM ones are any different whatsoever. Tell your gf to suck it lol
