^perfect.

So the wheel on the left has a + offset because the face of the wheel is towards the outside of the wheel.

The wheel on the right has a - offset because the face of the wheel is towards the inside of the wheel.

The center wheel has a 0 offset because the face is centered directly in the middle.

Now a wheel who face is close to the outside can still have a low offset because it is measured where the face bolts to the hub. So it could be thicker similar to how Damd Lover Souls are. A flat faced wheel that can have a low offset (i think the lowest I've seen was a +25 but the wheel is basically flat.

OK I am truly stupid here. What am I looking at when I am looking at those diagrams? Are those a map view of a wheel? So a low offset would mean the wheel face is very flat? Not like the ones where the middle of the wheel is WAY into the wheel? Am I at least close??? This is complicated if you aren't familiar with it.

those are cross sections of a wheel. The design of the face doesn't really determine the offset. The offset is just telling you where in the barrel the mounting surface of the wheel will sit. zero means its centered, plus is closer to the outside edge and negative is closer to the inside edge.

My DD/city warrior civic got stolen recently so I upgraded to the Fit. Now I've got two NHBP cars.

I know, right? The damn paint is so cheap!!! You'd think something so minor in cost as a couple coats of paint would be easy for Honda and would leave buyers with a better feeling...never had a car that chips so easily.
