Fit getting passed by M3s, Ferraris, etc

hahaha this is at the Redline Time Attack practice session thingy @ Auto Club Speedway

I wish the light focus was more outside but i was working on making my steering smoother so i had to see myself. It was fun but i really wish i could've borrowed a K20... lmao

well i hope you enjoy seeing cars we can't keep up with in the straights!

and damn im still mad at that Ferrari, i almost hit him cuz he cut me into the corner! well everyone tried to cut me going into the corner A-holes!

best laptime of the day: 2.25.xxx

Laptime you must complete to be considered "Fast": Under 2 minutes haha

Nice to see another owner taking the Fit to the track...

How much was it to enter the event?

Looked neat. I wish I could see the speedometer as you made the turns.

it should've been $275 for the "Testing Day" or whatever they call it where you go and tune your car. But they had an online deal where they take off $50 so it was only $225!

Note (Ghettoboy247) actually dragged me out and i'm really glad i went. Taught me lots about car control, steering, where to look, etc. Honestly it wasn't that big of a deal everyone was passing me, I was too busy trying to beat myself! lol

sadly now my stock brakes are spongy as a mutha! I think it's time to bleed them or just upgrade to new better brakes and fluid. Anyone know a decent all-around brake pad?

At this price of $225 were you able to go on the track all you wanted all day?... or, limited to a few runs?

you get i think 3-5 different sessions because they break it up into different driving classes, but it's still a TON of driving. If you came with a full tank you'll leave with it empty

It's interesting that they put you into a class with Ferraris.

haha yeah it's really up to the driver to choose where they want to go, even though his car was really fast where he passed me shows they couldnt even listen to the instructor. You're not supposed to get into someone's line when you're passing and you should also wait for a wave by. Maybe he just wanted to feel good about himself and beat all the noobs?

Too bad there are fools like him everywhere. Well... as we all know... money doesn't buy brains.

yeah it was a gripload of fun! I can't wait to go back and do another one. The Fit on a track is just like driving a low-powered Go-Kart. It turns very well but power is so so low. it's okay though i was mainly just concentrating on timing and cornering so the power was only a minor letdown

That's your brake fluid boiling, hence the spongy pedal.

Better fluid will do wonders. Aim for DOT4, that's got a higher boiling point than the stock DOT3 stuff.

Just flushing and filling with fresh fluid should get you your old brake feel back.

Looks like fun, great job. One of the best upgrades is learning to drive on a track
