it's an ABS plastic replica lip for $88 lol

it came a little banged up, so i decided to plastidip it. it's basically a rubberized membrane you can peel off if you ever choose to do so. but its flat black..so i've been thinking if i can throw a clear coat on it or something

^ Ditto. Thats a good way of explaining what it is.

More than likely, you've seen it a few times and never knew what it was. If you ever had a pair of pliers, the strange rubbery like material on the handles are plastidip.

Hey just read over this thread again. Good progress so far. Noticed you do not have progress rear sway bar yet. Let me say buy this before any strut bars. This is by far one of the best things you can do. Even on stock suspension you will definitely feel this bar. After that do strut bars. Fittin has one on his f/s thread you were looking at j's bar. Buy this first. Anybody else could chime in here and say the same thing.

i want to do both, so it'll be a matter of what comes up first on the classifieds for a good price

went over ryanroland's place today to install my mugen replica rs bumper that i painted with plastidip.

ryan helped a bunch and i think we did an awesome job.. liking the look, way better than a sport model fit with a base (removed sport lip) bumper

Before shots for comparison:

what do you guys think??

Nice work, but not sure I like it either. Paint it I think would look better? All in all though its what you like that matters. So thats a mugen replica. How is fitament against bumper, any gaps? Like the lip. When I get home tonight off mobile site ill look at it on pc with bigger screen. Droid pics are small.

it was originally really shiny plastic that had many scuffs in it from the place who sold it to me. i didn't want to go thru the hastle of returning it so i was thinking of my options. this is just temporary. i would rather something a little more shiny, which is why i was asking about if putting a clear on the plastidip would help with that. but i might just end up painting it.

fit was pretty good. it's snug in all the places it should be (everywhere it touches the bumper).

i can't complain for $88....

also, removed my muffler (seen in 2nd pic) ... loving the sound! very deep and not ricey at all. once you hit vtec you can really hear the k&n intake whistle too...i like it a lot! i figured i'd keep it this way until my tanabe medallion arrives, then it'll be an easy install
