new wheels, new pics!
new wheels, new pics!
Decided on a set of BBS's, 14x6.5 +12 offset. Can't wait to get myself a smaller sidewall tire.
Anyway, had to take my gf to work at 6am so I figured I'd snap some pics, let me know what you think!

curious if the turbo is worth it... like do you actually feel a big diff with the fit?

the turbo isn't too bad...haven't dyno'd yet but it definitely makes it better for pulling out into traffic. I'm going to bite the bullet and just do a k swap though, I was slightly disappointed in the time and effort I put into the turbo and the results I got.
The bbs's are bbs mahle's off an early 80's bmw.I'm actually possibly trading my teggy for a set of cal choppys and I'll throw the bbs's on my gf's ef Si.

Boost the L-series, keep the balance and lightweight nature of the car and you won't have to empty your checking account to do it, I am on par to spend about 900 all together. thats including the the $300 for the FIC I am buying next week and the ~$150 for a used MT Boomslang harness and another ~$100 for some 550cc/min injectors.
Even if you only run low boost (4-5psi) on a tiny GT25 and pick up 40wtq which is effectively doubling your power output, it'll be across the board which is more than you can say about any other mods for the car.
You will definitely notice that in a 2500lb car. And you will get that slingshot sensation of speed because of how turbos "hit" so even if you aren't really going that much faster it will definitely feel and sound like you are.
The only way to make a k-series worth it in my mind is if you:
1.) Have some serious funds for the suspension you will need to make the car relatively neutral again (unless you only like going fast in straight lines)
2.) Intend to make more than 400whp.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, the fit is significantly quicker than stock now, but nowhere NEAR what I'd like it to be. I'm definitely taking off the turbo soon and going to sell the setup in order to fun either the K swap or maybe get out of the fit and into something a little faster with more potential.
The area I'm in doesn't have a decent autox or road track nearby, so it really will only be a straight line car.

4th gear pulls on a private road with an aem wideband and a data logger. this isn't my first rodeo, I had a 500 hp sprayed camaro and a 300 hp supercharged tiburon lol
p.s. dyno tunes suck and those are what blow up cars. usually you base tune on a dyno and fine tune on the street...
