The whole video seems like one big street if your driver side window wasn't in the way. Lol. Super clean and sounds super mean. I want a Kswap even more now.

Good stuff, sounds nice, super short gears. Looks like a lot of fun.

I do suggest learning how to rev-match when downshifting though. Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine.

^^ I dont remember exactly but im short shifting at like 4-5K to keep the sound of the car down. as for rev-matching, this is my first manual ever. So just give me time lol

Gotcha, it's definitely a more advanced technique. You just blip the throttle when downshifting (ie.. going from 4th to 3rd) to match the revs of the previous gear instead of just letting out on the clutch. It takes a fair ammount of practice to get right.

Extends the life of your clutch/flywheel, and is the technically correct way to downshift. Sadly, few people actually do it.

Rev matching - downshifting

You should definitely make more videos soon! i like these go pro videos. Even if its just a ride to the store i would watch this lol. A tip for revmatching is pay attention to the rpm's at speed at each gear, for example, i know that at 20mph in second gear my car gd3 is at 2.5k rpm, so when im in third gear and slowing down, i press the clutch, move the shifter to second gear but when my shifter passes the neutral area, i give the gas pedal a little kick and when i see the rpms hit 2500 i let go of the clutch and bingo.

Didn't see any shifting faux-pas to worry about, especially for your first manual car.

You'll pick up some tricks along the way MN
