I wanted ground clearance. I cracked an oil pan a few years ago so im not a big fan of doing that again. Plus it doesn't matter how close the frame is to the ground, it's about how close the tires/wheels are to the fenders/quarter panels

 

Black or body paint for hood.
Rusted look is terrible, dont know why VW/BMW guys had to get that trend started
