Hi,
This is my brand new Honda Jazz 1.4 i-DSi Sport with manual transmission. The colour is Storm Silver which is fantastic and I had the optional tailgate spoiler and interior storage box/armrest fitted.
This is my second Jazz, my first one being a 2004 (2003 model) 1.4 SE Sport in Eternal Blue. I owned this until April 2006 when I purchased a 2006 Civic 'Euro' with the 2.2 138bhp diesel engine, although it was never the same and had a few niggles you get in the first year of production. So I went back to the Jazz.

The Sport model replaced the SE Sport in November 2004 when the 2005 model Jazz was introduced. The 2005 model Jazz gained a new front grille, indicators/turn signals in the door mirrors and some interior updates, although the basic S model retained the interior and door mirrors of the 2002-2004 models. You can compare this with a UK-spec 2002-2004 Jazz here.
Anyway, the Sport gets automatic climate control, 15" alloy wheels, electric windows front and rear and (from 2006, I understand) a AUX-in socket for your mp3 player. The bodykit is standard on the Sport but the tailgate spoiler is not.
And - as confirmed by the VIN plate - this is a Japanese-built Jazz. China has recently been suppling us with the Jazz since sometime this year, although some Japanese-built examples are still in the system. I've owned British-built cars (Honda Civic), Italian (Fiat Punto) and Korean (Hyundai), I have every faith in Japanese products over the rest.
The Jazz has been a run-away success here in England over the last five years. The old Jazz from the 1984-86 and the 2000-01 Honda Logo bombed completely over here, so it's fair to say that Honda are very surprised at the success of the Jazz. I think this market in Europe (or at least in England) is typically difficult for Japanese makers to break into as it's been dominated by the likes of Ford, Vauxhall/Open (GM), Fiat, Peugeot, etc., for decades.
Here in England, many Jazz's appear to be purchased by driver's aged over 60. Well, I'm almost 27 years old, male and purchased my first Jazz when I was 23 and it was my own choice. Young drivers who dismiss the Jazz as a old man's car are seriously missing out. I reckon part of the problem (aside from the ill-informed perception in England of Honda's being for elderly drivers) is that the Jazz is slightly more expensive then the usual European choices, and Honda typically don't offer the same incentives such as free insurance, cashback, 0% finance deals, etc., offered by many rivals. Maybe the age distribution will change now that the oldest cars are now five years old, opening them up to younger drivers. I mean, back in 1999/2000, I hardly ever spotted young people driving Toyota Yaris's but now it's different as these cars are more affordable and accessible to college students, younger drivers, etc.
It's good to see the Fit/Jazz is getting support in the US, a country which I believe is traditionally very hostile to small cars. I've even been keeping an eye out for Fit's in the background on American TV shows - just this evening I spotted a Fit twice driving around in the background on Without a Trace - maybe a bit of product placement?
I'll post some interior shots later.

looks very sweet! for some reason i think non-usdm Fits look sportier and better. I may be doing the rear bumper and sideskirt conversion if I get a little conection with a near foreign country to me, which may have same components as european cars(Fits)

I agree with what you have written its the same in N.Ireland.
The Jazz/Fit is driven by alot of 60 +.

here in the UK, we have as standard on the sport version, (not sure about lower specs), all wheel ABS with rear discs , Brake assist and Electronic Brake Distrubution.

It's great to be meet another Sport Jazz owner from the UK, whereabouts are you from? Your car looks awesome - it's amazing how much different the car looks with a spoiler on the rear end.
I heartily agree with what you have said - being a teenager owning a sport jazz, it's easy to see why people dismiss this car as an "old granny's car" - especially if the car hasn't got a sport kit!
It makes a nice change from what other teens in england drive anyway - novas, corsas,clios etc. and I don't think I could have got a better car at my age!
Maybe there are enough Jazz's in UK to start a little meet - who knows

ABS anti-lock brakes are standard on all SE, SE Sport and Sport models sold in the UK. S models have ABS from 2003 (I think European Union law says all new cars from '05 must have ABS).
Rear disc brakes have been standard from 2004 model year onwards.

I like a lot of the "amenities" those Jazz have vs. the Fit. That climate control is ballin, I see you have radio controls (jealous) and sliding armrest. Even the cloth seems to be tougher than the ones in the USDM Fits. Even your glove box looks larger! Sad.. maybe it was due to costs? At least we have the VTAK y0! hahah
