Mine's ugly but here it is. I want to make it blue, but do I have to put a primer down first then paint it blue? and do you guys use a clear coat to give it that shine?

Thanks guys!
I didnt do any sanding, just cleaned it a bit. I used a white base coat to give it a bright fluorescent finish and then clear. Mines spray canned. I couldnt find a nice orange in car colors. Could have went custom but I saw this orange.

Same color that I painted my stock sport wheels. Really looks sharp if the hoods popped and you can see the wheels and into the engine bay.

Thanks! Can't claim to be the first with the gold cover though, there's another user here, I think his name is Albert that has had his gold for a while. Didn't find out until after I painted mine but I had the paint left over from my wheels & I'm a die hard Suby fan and I love anything blue and gold hah.

Does the vtec logo come off, or do you tape it?

Best method is to remove the VTEC logo. You can reattach it after you are done painting.
