you can either break the two little pins that its held with, or cut the little circle things that hold the emblem pins. personally i cut those circle thing on one side and bent them to remove them. then the emblem comes off. after i painted everything i just put new little circles things on. they kind of look like washers but they're not.

do i need to do any prep?..like sand it or what so ever? coz its plastic..most people paint the valve cover itself which is not plastic..

how bout wrinkle red paint?....any special prep for that kind of paint?...

i did light sanding on it, buy you cant even tell. i've hand mine painted a whole year and its still perfect.

great!...so sanding isn't really necessary?...what paint did you use?...

No just rub it down with some scotchbrite and dish washing liquid to remove any old wax or slime and it also scuffs it up enough for the paint to stick.
