Repainted manifold cover
Decided to repaint the manifold cover on my '08 daily driver, was flat red, did a much better job on this one: it's all in the prep--sanded down all the bumps with 150 grit, 800 grit, cleaned with mineral spirits, primer, 2 base coats, 5 clear coats, wet sand w/2000, polish w/compound, done! Thinking about making it more unique by adding a red Fit logo or Honda symbol in the upper left corner at an angle....

It's funny you last posted. I did mine this weekend and ended up doing the opposite without seeing this post! lol. You'll see I got a little underspray in the top right of the cover, going to touch that up. Wanted a little color but not too much. May paint the "HONDA" red too.

Nothing too special. The color is called "Berry Pink" it is a close match to Subaru STi Pink and I bought it for that reason. We also own a Forester XT we are startin an STi conversion on. I got bored so decide to spray the manifold cover. Then obviously edited the photo a little bit. I will try to get a higher-res edit in the near future.
