Rear Tires brushing against bumper

I just bought a Fit recently, and i change the rear bumper and change to a 15" rim. (without lowering)

But i realised that when i'm passenager in my back sits... I'll hear those brushing sound coming from the rear, as if the tires were brushing against the bumper when going over uneven road.

My fren say it due to the suspension is too soft.

Has anyone experienced this before?

IF really is the case of suspension too soft... any recommandation on a reasonablely good suspension which is not too X.

Thanks!!

yes the stock rear suspension has tons of travel....so wiht a passenger in the back its very likely the rear tires rub the fenders. i have 15x6.5 with +40 offset and with people in the back i DO rub a bit. not enough to make me worry but enough to notice

first off whats the offset of the rim you have and the size? 15x6.5, 15x7? and the offset is going to be a number somewhere within these common ranges that ive seen so far....+55 (stock), +40, +38, +42, +45 and so on.

one option is having the rear fenders rolled (do with caution since theres a chance if done incorrectly youll crack the paint). another is getting stiffer dampening on the shocks.

how much would it cost to get a stiffer dampening? not the best one but one at a reasonable price and would still serve the purpose.

Thanks so much for your help!!

i havent really started looking into suspension for my car yet so i wouldnt be the best guy to tell you. i do know theres a few companies that make coilovers (Megan Racing, T1R, Spoon, J's) but in terms of just replacement shocks with stiffer valving i dont know. sorry.

im sure within the next year or so companies like KYB and Tokico and Koni will release products if they havent already. I have KYB's on 3 of my other cars and love em.
