Tein S-Techs

I'll post pics and everything when they come in, before and after so we can see the difference of ride height with the springs. If anyone is interested I can also (try if I have a camera guy) post some install pics. This will be the third time I've done them (Honda Element the first, Mitsubishi Evo8 the second) so I think I can get a pretty good amount of info in here.

Reply if your interested - if not I won't waste the time posting them!

Interested!...Can you take a pic of the front lip before and after the install to see how much clearance there is? And maybe include a measuring device of some nature...haha...and how much are these suppose to drop?

I believe they are progressive but I can't remember where I read it. I do know the drop on the front is supposed to be about 1.8 inches and the back about 1.3 inches. They'll be in next week and I will let you all know how it goes.

looking forward to hearing the ride quality. I read a thread that you posted about the Skunk2 and it doesn't seem so good for ride comfort. So I'm sticking with the Teins or the Eibachs. Most likely gonna get Eibachs but if Teins are good I'll get those since they're different.

actually NONE of the s-tech or h-tech are listed as progressive via the catalogs we have at work. just called them today and set up my sponsorship to order a set of s-techs. will upgrade later when money isnt as tight.

The Eibachs are a 1" drop though aren't they?

depends on which kit. the pro kit is around 1-1.5 and the sportline are 1.7-2.3.

i had a set of s-techs on my s2k and they rode and handled great.

what's the fender height after the drop? I have my T1R coilovers and I can't get it higher than 23 inches unless i crank up the coils too tight.

i got 10-12 hours into this suspension.

They rub, huh? When, all the time, or just when you turn tight?
I didn't get mine on, since right when they came in, my car started thunking. So, I took it in - turns out that my stut assembly is jacked, and I am currently waiting for my car to get out of Honda's shop. Thank god for warrenty, since I didn't have the springs on yet. That would've sucked, having to replace them back to stock so they could get done.

Anway - I'm still going to do them whenever I get my car back.

sorry to hear. a lot of front strut assemblies today have a bearing cap that has a tendency to screw up and itll make noise when you turn.

my tires rub any time i hit a good dip in the road or even when i corner aggressively. likely just the offset. you cant get much in a very high positive(over 50) without buying a higher end wheel which mine are not. i want 16" anyways so ill just set em in the showroom floor at work tomorrow and put my stockies back on.
