TEIN vs TANABE GF210? ANYONE HAVE INPUT?

Hello everyone.

I am looking at either picking up a set of Tanabe GF210s or TEIN S-Tec Lowering springs...

Does anyone know how each one rides? I am looking for the lowered look, but want to keep the suspension as close to stock as can be ride wise. I don't want a rough ride.. just the look!

so which is better for my application? or is there another spring i should look at other than these 2 that i've listed?

I dunno I heard the tanabe's ride real comfy but are stiff at the same time (kinda wierd) as far as the tein springs some of my friends have them and they said they tend to bottom out because of the soft spring rate but it also depends on what you're going w/ on the teins. Are you tracking the car or just daily driving/pimping lol

Not sure about the s-tech spring rate but the Tein Type Flex systems that I've ran on several Hondas/Mazdas have been the best setups I've had on all of my rides. IMHO

Tein Stechs are generally about 10% stiffer than the stock spring that it is replacing. The reason people may be bottoming out is that Fit's come with really soft suspension from that factory and lowering it with a soft springrate still allows for a lot of travel on your damper. When that happens in hard turns or bumps you bottom out. To fix this get stiffer springs like from Swift or get stiffer shocks, which i haven't seen to many yet and i have a suspension sales based website. Skunk 2 i think is the only ones that have them but they are only going with their springs as a coilover type setup.

I had a set of GF210 and they rode awsome! Rides like stock but nice around the corners. I dont bottom out or had any rubbing issues.
I put my car back to stock so the wife can drive it. She had no issues with it she just didnt want to damage the car going over speed bumps or steep driveways. If the wife approves then its a good thing

Doesn't swift have almost the same spring rates as gf210???

I have the GF210s. At times they are a little bouncy, Most of the time, the car feels like it's riding on air. But when you use the spring the way they are supposed to be used, they work really well!

I like them, but they're not really that close to stock. The stock suspension was actually riding a little rough for me. The Tanabe springs fixed that problem.

I haven't bottom out yet and no tire rubs.

Try out the Progress springs: The Progress Group, Inc. Online Store. They ride great and the rates aren't going to rattle your fillings.

It's true- our bumpers have to meet safety standards (collision energy absorption) that are not required for safety standards in other countries.

i just installed the tein lowering springs, and the ride quality is great. i haven't bottom out at all, and there is no tire rub. i've turned sharply in the parking lot and nothing. i've got 205/50/15 tires, and actually to me the rear has about a full inch or two left above the tire.

sup.. I have gf210 springs now and I think they're a bit bouncy. They're okay, I mostly like them for the ride height, no rubbing on 16x7 wheels. They feel stiffer than my previous set up of t1r springs, which I like, but they are definately bouncier.. feels like I'm riding an old civic/integra w/ cut springs lol. I want a set of full coilovers.. I had tein basics on my teg before and they were great A+
