Anyone want free Ground Control products?

I sent an email off to Ground Control to see if they were planning on developing any products for the fit. Here was their repsonse:

"Hi (Gil554),

We do plan on developing a kit for the Fit. We haven't been able to source
a demo car for fitment.

If you know of anyone in our area who would like to leave their car with
us for a day, we will engineer a kit, and the car owner can keep the kit
free of charge once complete.

Sincerely,

Mark"

so if any of you that live near (which I don't):

3885 Dividend Dr
Shingle Springs, California 95682

You can get some free stuff and help move Fit racing forward for all of us. You can either contact GC or let me know and I will try and help out.

I live about 6 hrs away in SoCal but would make the drive for the opportunity. I just emailed them. At this point, I'll wait to hear from them.

I guess having a set of aftermarket koni/KYB to go with these GC/ERS springs would be nice. However NOTHING is available yet.

I sent off two emails yesterday. One to Ground Control, which I received a reply to. Another to Koni, which I have not heard back from yet. I figure, the more you ask the more likely. I am curious about the fitment up front of koni yellows from the civic past or present.

I havent heard anything back on my end from other members or GC. I imagine they are still open to producing a set for free to a Fit owner. It would be worthwhile dropping GC a line if you live nearby (which I do not). If you get a free set from them, let us know!

I have ground control on my fit and they are perfect they are not bumpy handeling is excelent I am very happy with them. they retrofited my stock struts to accept the coilovers and it works great. ground control thanks every body for the intrest in their product. my car was there for two days for them to fit the coilovers and work out any manufacturing kinks. when the coilovers are released I would highly recomend picing up a pair.

So when's the expected release date? Can you adjust them to be stock height? That's one of the things I liked about GC coilovers.

I do mot know the release date yet ground control is on a three day week end right now. for adjusting them to stock height I belive you can get very close my car was lowered when i took it into ground control with a 2" drop and now the car in the front is about 1/4 to 1/2" higher and the rear looks about the same and that is they set them at half way on the adjustability. ass well put in racing bump stops. I will get pic up as soon as I can.

I couldnt stand the waiting so I called Ground Control today and asked about the coilovers and when they would be available. I spoke with Mark on the phone and he said next week probly around Tuesday they would have them. He also said that they can go really low, like too low when adjusted all the way down so that sounds great to me. He also mentioned the price would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $429.00. I have HFPs in the mail and when I get these coilovers my junk is gonna be pimped YO!!!!!!!

I talked to ground control to day and for the spring rate to be any higher you have to run aftermarket shocks and struts that can handle the higher spring rate because the stock ones will not but I am loving my coilovers alot of fun.

Looks sick!

How have you liked fit and finish? Other thoughts on the product?

I love the fit and finish of the product I am wating for a company to make any after market shock and strut for the fit so I can get a stiffer spring rate. It is alrady pretty stiff and very cappable weekend autoxer the handdeling is very balanced it is a really a lot more fun to drive.

One more question! If desired, how close to stock ride height could you get?

ground control can costum tailor a coilover kit to what ever you desier they have springs of diffrent lenghts and stiffness so they could probaly get a kit that is very close to stock height. the kit I have the rear is almost at the highest point it can be the front I have not touched since I left ground control.
