calipers painted

Duplicolor caliper paint kit. Took about 3 hours. 3 coats. took everything off but i didn't remove the caliper completely. Still connected to the brake lines. Wanted to get black but autozone didn't have it for some time. Tire rack was way overpriced. Only paid 18 for the kit and after 3 coats i still have 3/4 od the can left.

Thanks. I did let it sit overnight before driving it. You should do it when you have the time to let it sit. Not sure what would happen if it was not fully cured and the calipers got hot. It does dry pretty quick between coats so it shouldn't take long to do.

I need to do that to mine once I get the HFP wheels on. That's a nice little eye catcher.

I used to have the HFP's they were great! They look bigger than other 16's because their is no lip. Enjoy them.

wow thats quite a wad of cash for me to drop on brakes, if it is worth it though... how much did it improve braking( 30mph to stop, 60mph to stop, all around drivability?)

I did the same thing but notice how I painted the solid inner lip of the rotor for added color,,,,

also did the rear just to set the HFP wheels off a bit,,,

I like the painted caliper look, but i wont do it untill i buy my rear disk conversion Kit..I think it looks un-balanced with just the front caliper painted.

LEONINE: nice look man but if i were you i would go to auto zone and get a lil bottle of paint that matches your car and paint thoses aqua blue valve stem caps. i know its trivial but it drives me nuts!

The Tire Rack paint is more expensive for a reason, it is of better quality. I tried both on previous cars and found the Duplicolor to flake off. But I did only 2 coats so you should be good......looks good though.
