Hye guys im looking at getting some strat bars and its seems that alot of you have good things to say about the Cusco bars. My question is 1. How easy is it to install the front and rear bars? and 2. Do any of u have pics of them installed on your cars, Front and rear?

cusco bars are the shit man. the front isnt too bad. its the rear that'll take most of the time. you have to open up the panels cause the rear mounts are bolted behind the panels.

 

strut bars won't do any noticable difference in your steering/chassis feel. you'd be better off installing a rear swaybar!

thanks for your input and all but thats not realy what im looking for, I wanted to know if any one has pics of the bars and how easy the install is, as far as do they bolt right up or is there some moddifications needed, also they cusco bars fit the USDM fits right?

no probblem! i just installed a rear strutbar (j's racing) and it did absolutely nothing :P :P. i knew it wouldn't do anything though. the best upgrade (other than full coilovers) would be a rear swaybar. and the swaybar might actually be the better upgrade (more noticable)

 

solbrothers, I decided to atleast take some time and look into a rear swaybar, I was not realy planing on getting one because my thoughts where it would be very hard to do and I might mess some thing up. after a quick search and reading about that Progress Rear Sway bar I deffintly I will have to pick that up. the install looks vary easy and the price is good (for both strut bars It would cost double).

 

im guessing youd have to hack up the rear fender covers to make it fit nicely?

 

I read some where on here that u have to cut a little slit into the covers, so the bar can fit through. I bet if you took your time and was carfull it would look pretty slick.

 

I put cusco front and rears on my impreza wagon and it made a noticble difference. Not to say that the Fit ISN'T a different vehicle with different parameters, but I remember that you could feel the car more. IMHO, i didn't like the bar because of the amount of road feel you picked up, but to each their own, right?

 

i have the j's racing rear strut bar, and it doesn't look janky at all without the covers on

i did the cusco front tower bar the other day. took about 35min to do.
hardest part was pulling out the rear washer fluid hose bracket without
crushing it on the passenger side tower. lol . i reused it (after
trimming a little) and relocated the bracket to an adjacent unused hole.

the package comes with instructions (in japanese) and it says that you
need to move some harness connector on the 1.5L. i didn't need to
move anything... nice clearance from all engine parts.

if you have fat hands you might suck at this install cause you need
to fish 2 small nuts into the strut tower area from the underside.

i recommend you re-torque the tower screw & locknuts after about
35miles drive. one of the 2 on each side were alittle loose on mine
using about 30lbs/ft torque. im not sure if i'd recommend loctite
cause you want the bar to settle alittle bit onto the chassis and be
able to retorque after your test drive. the locknuts/screws you get
appeared to be treated for corrosion.

the bar noticably tightens up the front end. i recommend it if you're
running lowering springs, c/o's. initial turn-in is much more responsive.

 

Cusco bars are nice. And I definitely felt a difference in the car after installing a front strut and c-pillar.

 

i like my rear and front bars i think they really feel good

 

if you dont mind (im kinda lazy to search) would you let me know how
the c-pillar bars are installed? do i need to remove part of the ceiling
liner?
