swift springs

are there any updates on recent swift spring buyers? i have read jimmy101's post on how it appears that his drop is a little excessive, possibly using springs designed for the japan market. i like them because they are linear and are 1.2"/1.0" drop as i want my suspension to still perform correctly. anything new?

S.F. Bay member "Black Cobra" has a set of Swift springs waiting to be installed. Our group is trying to set up a suspension comparison meet in the near future. If it finally works out, member "ciburri" (ex-Mecedes Benz mechanic) will prepare a chart to be posted with ratings on all suspension-modified Fits in our tests. Will rate actual drop of each spring set compared to stock cars, and ride quality over freeway expansion joints and rutted mountain roads with 10 mph curves.

Four of our members are exploring ways to obtain KGM dual rate springs (has not worked out yet after 4-5 months of effort), and won't influence out testing meet. If Black Cobra gets his new Swifts on the car in time for this meet, his data will be included in the posted information generated by the meet.

If our research meet really happens, the info. that it generates might turn into a long-lasting thread (maybe a dreaded "sticky"). We'll see.
