Why Fit no Drift
I can ass drag my Fit like nothing in the rain and when its dry. Not on my current wheels though.
I noticed after adding the rear sway it got a little harder to do.
I prefer the rain of course to reduce flat spots in my tires. Dry pavement requires more speed and a hard jerk of the steering wheel. Havent done it in a while, its fun though.

I would really dig a ride in your Fit...if for some inexplicable reason you should feel the need to punish yourself and drive all the way out to Cali...
my car was pretty easy to drift as well back in the summer when i had 175/65R14 tires, just enter a turn with your rpms high (4500-5500), pull the e-brake until the car is almost turned around, and punch the gas while pulling the e-brake and after releasing it.
I can drift it on my new 195/60R14 tires but that's on snow covered roads, haven't been able to try on dry roads yet.

dang get a room!.......trying to drift a fwd car is extreeeeemly ghey!
Its a blast (to second part)
His ride just reminds me of a classic mini...It sounds interesting....hahaaaa
geeeeee thanks....
AND....your avatar???????????????? hahahahaahahahahaahaaaaaaa not fitster but "FISTER" HAHAHAAAAAAA

I think the idea of getting a rear sway bar is to increase oversteer which is what makes a drift. almost all cars on the market, especially FWD ones are factory tuned to have more understeer for safety purposes.
so it should only be easier to drift with a rear sway bar.

im sure this post is gonna piss alot of us 240 owners on here lmfao
please...alot has been taken away from drifting so lets leave what little dignity it has left and stick to "asshole powersliding" :P
someone here said it already...throw some trays on that bitch!!!

lol, believe it or not, I actually have a 240 and rx7, being able to slide around corners is just amazing.
but gas cost so much this days, can't really afford to drive those 2 daily anymore, so I got the fit. I used to think all FWD drifters are ricers, but now I realized that some sideways is better the no sideways at all...

lets just leave drifting for the RWD cars
actually...i've always wonder if you can take the 4WD jazz and take out the front differential and make it RWD like some EVO's, skylines, WRX's in D1 and Formula D
and if all else fails, just do tray drifting haha
on a off topic, has anyone see that honda element turned drift car??

I havent done it in a while. My first night draggin my Fit was on the new Holler Honda lot before all the cars were moved to it. Theres a vid of me somewhere. It was a short drag and I asked my friend to film it.
I was doing damn good for about 30min or so. The next morning from half of the front fender all the way back was completely white. I loved it and didnt wash it for 2 weeks. People were tempted to write on it so I had to.
drifting by definition has to be done by the rear wheels only.
if its not RWD, then its powersliding
if you think your honda civic can "drift" then i dare you to enter your civic into your local drift event and see if you don't get couple of laughs and fingers pointing at your car
Wow people seem to have such immediate feelings towards supposed "drifting".
An e-brake is just a mechanism in drifting...you do or you dont...it doesnt matter that the e-brake is used or not. If it was then you could probably throw out atleast 1/3 of all the RWD "drifts".
Its not sacred people... really its not....not even a little bit...
there is no "one way" just as there is no "one type of car"...
"drifting, powersliding, a$$draggin, tailwhippin, side window drivin, rounding, smoke steering"... whatever you want to call it they all embody much of the same dynamics/physics.
It is just an enjoyable endevour...
I know alot of this is said in "gest" and people like to get reactionary for...well ummm...reactionary sakes, but honestly...c'mon people...the rear wheels are not the only component.
I seem to remember a hatch for FALKEN....not even meant to prove or disprove...just to simply open ones eyes...

wow, i just got owned hella badly....Snap Fit, i've never seen this civic hatch before and i never knew it existed but to me, its still not real drifting in my eyes because its not on a RWD drivetrain. Keisuke Hatakeyama is a pioneer in "FF drifting" but IMO i still belive real drifting is done with RWD cars and some people agree with my opinion and on the other hand people like you and many others, believe FF cars can drift
Drift Session
and with my comment about bringing your civic to a drift event...i guess i was wrong, all i'm saying is its not conventional to use a FF car for drifting
thats just my opinion though but i still believe real drifting is done by RWD cars
Can only Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) vehicles drift?
No. Anything with wheels can drift, and probably some things without wheels too. Based off of the official Drift Session definition for drifting, drifting can be performed in any vehicle regardless of drivetrain type. While being much more difficult to perform drifts in a front wheel drive vehicle, it is possible, with the proper technique, to drift them reasonably. The most common reason why people don't drift FWD vehicles is because it is nearly impossible to sustain a drift or accelerate while drifting in a FWD vehicle. FWD vehicles are limited in drifting by the amount of momentum they carry into a corner, while RWD vehicles are not.

anywho...way off topic how did you get the above link in your post?
I want to put a link at the bottom of my posts (signature? is that what its called?) but it comes out all garbled...yours is just Drift Session very clean looking just underlined to give a hint as being a link...
anyhelp would be appreciated...if not no worries...thanks
