What springs to get?
What springs to get?
Ok, I know this has been covered before. In fact I was reading a thread a couple weeks back comparing springs and what not and I've been trying unsuccessfully for like 2 hours to find that damn thread again LOL. Maybe I just suck at searching but I have been searching for a while.
Heres what I'm trying to find....
Springs with a mild drop good for daily driving. I'm don't need a real firm spring rate or anything, in fact I don't want a firm spring rate. I don't want to bounce over bumps or feel like I'm gonna launch over highway bumps. I want it to ride and feel the same as stock just close the wheel gap a bit.
I was looking at the Tanabe site and going off there description the NF210 (max comfort) springs sound like exactly what I'm looking for, but they do not offer those springs for the fit, just the max lowering and max handling
Any info would be great, also a link to the thread I was trying to find if anyone knows where its hiding.

We've installed literally thousands of dropped springs in all kinds of cars for street to racing over the past 45 years. Its a good rule for steet cars to not drop much over an inch if you want to keep good suspension geometry, tire wear, and handling.
A large number of those who insisted on radical drops 2' to 3" ended up with considerable body work or damage, both of which have severe effects on car resale value and the altered geometry had negative effects on autocross times.
That said, we have had good luck with Eibach and H&R but I don't know if they offer such springs specs.
I will offer that 45 mm offset wheels are good for those 1.2" drops with 205 section tires.
The best looking and handling Fits we've driven have 205/40x17 tires on 17x7/45 wheels.
