Back to Stock
Hi guys! Wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I'm having.
If you don't know I was the first to have the prototype of the Tanabe GF210 back in 7/06 and they were wonderful. But due to my wife selling her car and now sharing the Fit, I put it back to stock at the beginning of last yr.
Till now I started to notice as well as my wife the car feels everything on the fwy & streets. Its really harsh for my wife due to her being pregnant and its getting annoying. Do you think the shocks are going out already or maybe I put the stock springs on wrong? Would the suspension be still under warranty I just hit 20k mark (not bad for having it when they first came out ). Oh and I keep my tire pressure at 32psi if that helps...
Thanks in advance and looking forward for any input.

considering how difficult it would be to incorrectly install stock
springs i doubt it was the installation.
the harshess might be coming from it being linear rate springs vs
the progressive rate GF's?
tire psi looks right.
when dampers go they become floaty/bouncy (uncontrolled rebound
with undulations) so shouldn't be it...

i really think its her being pregnant. we have this coworker(getting on my nerves everyday)
hes keeps saying how she feels everything now, how she can smell more things.
im just like GOD! Shut up!
but anyways....yeah i dont think your shocks are that worn out...
but they could be. simple solution i guess is buy the tokico blues
heh...

If memory serves me right I put the less coiled one in the back and the more coiled in the front or vice versa? I have to look to see what spring is in the back.
Yeah the ride was awesome with the GF210 and didnt feel all the bumps on the road compared to now.
I have the stock alloys on but when I had the GF210's I had my 16" RS Beta's dont know if that makes a difference.
hmmm....

Especially going on the 405 towards my parents place in ventura county its non stop bumpy with no smooth road

if you're planning on carrying your wife and newborn in your Fit
for a few years i think you'll like the EnduraTech's. my son loves
my car.
he use to be like 'dad, bumpy!' when i went over RR crossing
on my old DF210 setup while on the ET's he doesn't say anything.
most setups out there are too stiff for daily drivers especially with
little kids.

the problem with these damn cars is as soon as you lower them the rear shocks go out they cant handle the extra pressure of being lowered so going back to stock your gonna have to replace them and i say just go with what you can afford cuz there isnt that big of a difference between them and with a kid coming your gonna need all the money you got

hmmm... i took a look at my rear springs and it looks like the more coil is in the rear. by looking at the picture from majestic honda it looks like the more coil goes in the front
rear
i should fully inspect it though cause i looked at the while the car is still sitting on the ground instead of lifted. so i have to make time to check it out.

okay, here it is simplified!
larger over all diameter = front
smaller over all diameter = rear
*edit* this is the over all diameter of the BODY not the material thickness
