JDMxGE8 11-25-2008 12:17 PM

None. I would go with T1R.

dickiez 11-25-2008 12:19 PM

its kinda hard to decide if i dont know what brand they are
hahaha

alil mor einfor please???

gawa 11-25-2008 12:27 PM

I think:
1. Ksport
2. Megan Racing
3. ??
4. D2
5. ??

If I had to choose between those 5, I'd go with D2 cause I like the colors. lol.

Previc93 11-25-2008 01:03 PM

I dont like the color of the ksports but they are the cheepest for what you get. i saw the drop on them and its pretty low. not sure about handling though. Im either going to get ksports, t1rs, or skunk 2s. depends on how much money im willing to spend. still doing research.

MiniMeRR 11-25-2008 01:23 PM

Sorry everyone ok labeled them.

T1R.......

Search please.

TOOL 11-25-2008 01:58 PM

I have T1Rs, love them.
Or Get Skunk2 Pro Cs. I wouldnt go with any of those options.

avocado123 11-25-2008 02:31 PM

I'm personally going with the D2's myself in the next few months. 36-way adjustable dampening, they are only $812.50 shipped, and they are freaking purple :D I read some reviews online and seems like everyone is happy with them, esp if they are using their car as a DD.

*****Edit*****

Google "D2 coilover review" in your spare time... you'll be pleasantly surprised with what you read...

rvall004 11-25-2008 03:07 PM

I got the D2 coilovers...and I love them...the ride is excellent..handling as well and they are less expensive than the T1R or the skunks2...plus D2 company is well recognize:)...but at the end is whatever you want to get.

Really? Hows that?
You know what quality you are getting with a name like T1R, D2 on the other hand who knows lol.

dickiez 11-25-2008 03:42 PM

ive got the megans

they are very stiff
hahaha
so if you want a stiff ride and love hard turns to the max
id say go for the megans
=]

MiniMeRR 11-25-2008 04:01 PM

What am looking for a is nice ride (NO BOUNCE) and I plan to ride slammed......
So just looking for other options and advice from people that have coilover's on there rides.
Saw rvall004 last night and the car sits nice and low and he does not have it all the way down eaither. and he's riding on 16's which is the way I might go with rims.

Hahah you didnt ;)
And im glad you like them, coils are coils in a sense. If you they make you happy thats all that matters.:wavey:

kenchan 11-25-2008 04:51 PM

all very bad choices. ;)

go enduratechs for dd. :p

trancedsailor 11-25-2008 05:04 PM

skunk2 pro c is serious. It's a chunk of change more than Enduratech's but you're getting a tried and trusted name. Plus I already have Skunk2 catback, so I might as well Skunk out my car lol I still am on the fence...but I've narrowed it to those 2 :P

randay 11-25-2008 05:10 PM

skunks or t1rs.

Fitftw 11-25-2008 06:23 PM

skunks if youre looking for a huge drop.

probably D2 if youre on a budget.

GD3_Wagoon 11-25-2008 06:53 PM

+1 for skunk2 or t1r

when i was cross shopping coilovers, my research found that a lot of these companies like killer bee and d2 that claim 32 way adjustable dampening actually only offer two settings, full soft or full stiff and nothing in between. i can't remember who posted it but i know i found it in the suspension forum, possibly in the suspension theory thread???

anyway, i rounded down my choices between skunk2, t1r, and enduratech because i knew the extra investment would be worth it. i ended up with skunk2 pro-c's because i was able to get an awesome deal on them and i couldn't be happier - firm ride but not back breaking.

the only other piece of advice i could give you is to do your own research. keep reading and learning about each product until you can form an opinion of your own. don't base your purchase on people's opinions about a product; the best example is here in your thread. people stand by their investment and tend to have an unintentional biased opinion - rvall004 and TOOL, skunk2 pro-c's FTMFW :p!

just don't cheap out on your coilovers, suspension and handling is the only good thing the Fit has going for it. you definitely don't want to eff that up

rvall004 11-25-2008 07:35 PM

I agree..just do your own research and get whats the best for you, what type of performance u looking for and what is adequate with your budget....and thats tru everyone will always back up their own investments..:D:D

unFITone 11-25-2008 07:57 PM

I ride D2's in my DD. I have also for other DD's. I like them and they haven't failed me in almost 2 years.

I can't speak for Killer Bee, but this WAS true w/ the old D2 coilovers. They've since redesigned the shocks and have true adjustibility. I've had an old set and a new set and I can tell a difference.

jeimusu86 11-26-2008 12:02 AM

i really want the pro-c's b/c of the all the r&d that they did, and the drop is ridiculous...but realistically i might have to get the D2's b/c its cheaper and after riding in my bro's civic si, it was really nice and had really tight turns, i guess D2's are never going to get the respect like t1r and skunk2, but i'm not running a track car so D2's will have to suffice, unless i win that 96 mill mega lotto

jeimusu86 11-26-2008 12:08 AM

pro-c's have a lot of race inspired design within its engineering of the dampening system

this video really inspired me, i was going to buy them, but as of now out of funds

check out the awesome vid:

Never seen those endurotrac they look sweet and have a nice price range too that won't break the bank. Would love to get some T1R or Skunk's but trying to keep it under Stack, Thank you for showing me those enduro's leaning towards those right now.

In the end offcoruse the dicsion will be on me just wanna get people's feed back on what they have and why they got it.

Like me want a really good drop, I don not want to loose the handel of the fit cause it is top knotch, and a semi stiff right not to hard but a little hard, and under 1,000.00.

Shaggs2Dope 11-26-2008 08:50 PM

i would rock the skunks if I switched to full coilovers. Its the best known, plus they are outta south san francisco, and all of my skunk stuff I ever bought still works well. They put $$ and time into R&D

El Chupacabura 11-27-2008 04:20 AM

I forget who it was that said it but one of the first comments I ever read on this site was "Pay the extra money for what you really want" So just take it form there;)

eldaino 11-27-2008 09:56 AM

out of all the coilovers mentioned, i'm pretty sure only enduratechs have actually been built with daily driveability in mind.

any suspension set up that makes the fit any bumpier or harsher than it already is doesn't make it sound MORE like a dd to me.

if i'm not mistaken, as good as the skunk 2's are, they are not exactly smoothers of the fits ride. in fact they have some the highest spring rates of any coilover on the market for the fit. they are quality products, but i don't think they are to everyones taste.

maybe i'm just getting old and i don't like a bumpy ride. or maybe i just don't think that a harsh bumpy ride is a prerequiste of handling.(i.e. see bmw.)

feared 11-30-2008 08:20 PM

cusco can be made to fit with slight mods... not too sure how many people have ridden in them, but cusco is a tried and true suspension brand as well...

Fit_Dr 11-30-2008 08:53 PM

Look at HKS HKS USA HKS Hipermax III

Expensive but worth it.

MiniMeRR 12-01-2008 08:23 AM

Just wanna thank everyone for there suggestions and feedback thank you. Gonna take a little more time and look into some of the high choices and compare them befor I make the final choice.

solbrothers 12-03-2008 01:59 AM

skunk2 /thread

feared 12-03-2008 05:43 AM

you could add tein basics to the list as well.

GD3_Wagoon 12-03-2008 10:46 AM

i just made a few minor adjustments to my pro-c's. even with the 800kg and 600kg springs the ride feels nearly stock minus the soggy rear. all i did was add a little more compression to the springs and lowered the valving to 2.. on contrary to popular belief, skunk2 pro-c's can be a very comfortable, daily driven, coilover option :)

MiniMeRR 12-03-2008 11:53 AM

Was talking with a couple of freinds of mine and I told them that I was going 195x45x15 and that I wanted the car with a really nice drop about a finger gap from top fender to top of tire, and they suggested T1R's that they would give me the most drop out of all the coilovers. What you think?
