Endura-tech review!!

Well, I just finished the install on my Endura-Tech coilovers. Kenchan was right, these are awesome! Very VERY smooth and the handling GREATLY improved.

INSTALL:
the directions:
the directions are in all black and white and they are somewhat hard to look at if you dont know exactly what to look for. Also, they dont tell you how to adjust the height of the coilovers (im a semi-noob i would say haha). But, besides that, they were very helpful and told you how many lbs of torque to apply, what size nuts they were, very detailed for the most part.

Install for these is very basic. 3 bolts on each one pretty much. I didnt use a spring compressor but they didnt shoot off or anything, just a quick pop and about half a foot jump. They didnt even come off the OEM strut. When I installed the back ones, I didnt notice a drop at all. I posted a thread on here about it, but me being a noob and all, I forgot to release the damn e-brake . But, after I released it, it definitely dropped how it was supposed to. Install on the back took about 4 hours and the front took about 3. This was my first REAL mod so thats why it took so long...oh, and we didnt have any jacks that worked to well. But overall, installation is VERY easy, just a little time consuming and a few tight spots space wise (ie: rear springs). Also, I was unable to get the end links on...they were to small. I am going to message justin and see what he says on how to fix that problem.

PERFORMANCE:
These babys are sweet! VERY little body roll with these on. I seriously felt like my back end just followed me and just zipped right into place. Very comforting. They are also very VERY comfortable. I honestly didnt feel any dips/bumps more than I did w/ my OEM springs/struts in.

I am EXTREMELY satisfied with these. I was debating these vs Skunk2 Pro-C's. I am probably just using my fit for DD and some fun stuff here and there, so I went wit the ETs. Very happy that I made that decision.

My camera is charging right now so I will post pics tomorrow. If you are thinking about getting these, do it. they seriously are very nice.

pics as soon as my damn camera works. haha. But the drop is nice.

I drove one them for about an hour today and I am very satisfied with them. There is still a little bit of body roll so I will be puttinga rsb on when I can get one (x-mas and what not is coming up). However, the roll is only when you take a turn going 30...20 there is no roll at all.

I really like these and I am very VERY happy with them. I would recommend them to anyone, seriously.

sam- sounds good! doh, yah, the e-brake does hold the car up/down in a
werd angle when engaged. lol glad to read you found the cause of that.

yep, these coilovers are kickarse. i still luv mine. been motoring in this chilly IL
2F weather this am and no issue. no clunks or squeaks. butter smooth even in
these temps over rough RR crossing, etc.

i took a turn going about 12mph in a icy interection and i can feel the
car turn very balanced with no werd bias front or rear. it turned exactly
the way i pointed the car and the rear just followed (and im on garbage
ziex912's!). try that on stiff suspension in these conditions. lol call 911
before you try. hahaha

haha. agreed. i love how the back end just follows perfectly. the car goes exactly where it is supposed to. I LOVE them haha. I couldnt get the endlinks on though, the holes were to far apart. any advice on how to get the holes for the end links closer together?

sam- were both front sides up off the ground while you were working on
the endlinks? you have to do them in pairs like you did on the rear.
it's basically the same philosophy as a torsion beam.

they should line up with no issue.

Any of you guys have any pics of you suspension setup with it at its lowest setting? Just want to see how it looks compared to the skunk coilovers?

I think I had both sides jacked up but I am not sure. Will the OEM ones be okay or do I need the ETs?

I dont have it at its lowest, about right in the middle actually. The fronts are almost tucked and the rears have about 1/2"-1/4" above the tires. I might drop them more this summer but not as of right now.

i haven't tried mine with the oe endlinks so not sure. does it not rub against
the steering rod or any of the suspension bits? if not, i suppose they'd work.

another thing is the angle that the rod is positioned when the
steering wheel is turned. the whole strut assembly turns so
not sure, i would just get that replaced to the ET ones.

Sam Misled- Thanks for your kind words and review. The endlinks will fit, something is a miss. Check into what Kenchan had suggested and see if that helps. If you can, take a picture of the current way you have it set up and send it to me or here on the forum so we can take a look and make sure all is correct.
Now that you have gotten this installed, I bet you feel like you can tackle anything. What's next?
Thanks again.
