just wondering how much weight can coilovers handle.
because i was driving my cousins back to there house and my rear was scraping. i had a full load of people i would say about 650lb -750lb in back.
this is the first time i had that much wight in the back.
i had 3 people in the back before but they weight less and never had a problem.

I think it would depend a lot on how high you have the suspension set. If you're slammed, then your load capacity is likely much reduced. if you're running at or near stock height, you may have increased, or at least stock weight carrying capacity. BAP has the ground control coilovers set quite low, and doesn't put people in the back seat at all. His car did handle impressively well, but it was too big of a tradeoff for me.

It doesn't matter what your ride height is now, it would matter how you set it with the new coilovers installed. The lower you set it, the less weight you could carry without scraping your back bumper away. Don't buy the coils that TOOL broke on the Auto X track at Marina though.

lowering springs and coilovers are NOT made to haul stuff. if you want that, get air struts.

Bull shit Dave... Spreading false info are we? Youll be getting a PM.

BTW for your, and everyones info, what happened at AutoX had NOTHING to do with my coils.. It had to do with my steering linkage. Im off the coils and still have the problem.
