bad toe?

So i installed my skunk2 springs today. Had it aligned and they say the pass rear wheels toe is off by 20 degrees. And it can't be adjusted. No camber or toe adjustment. Any suggestions?

20 degrees is a hell of alot to be off by. Your car would feel totally f'ed if you drove with a wheel 20 degrees off, and it would be extremely obvious by looking at it. I think they may be wrong, or something went MAJORLY wrong with the install. I've never heard of toe going off 20 degrees just by installing a set of coilovers. That even bad for someone that's bagged and laying frame. Do you have any pics?

Yeah, there's no way it's off by 20 degrees . . . it'd be completely undriveable at that point . . . I'm guessing they misspoke, or you misheard. 2 degrees would be a severe toe problem.

I just found out about these, but SPC makes inexpensive alignment shims - good for rear camber & toe.

wooow 20 degrees thats way to much!! ive never seen or heard of a car being out 20 degrees they may have ment 2 degrees but damn! 20 degrees the guy didnt know what he was talking about!

btw if you use the shims be careful with the abs sensor cause it may not work. also i wouldnt worry about 2 degrees our car arnt heavy enough to do any damage with toe or camber unless you do some serious camber like on a 0 offet wheel

i read it computer print out. it said 20. So who knows. I'm taking it to honda tomorrow for the 30k mile maintenence and they will align it again cuz its part of the procedure. I'm sure if something is off they will let me know.

konig helium +38 iirc Those tires suxxors tho. I'm getting some more falken 512s probably soon. The sumitomo HTR+ or whatever or way bigger than the falkens for some reason. I plan to roll and pull my fenders soon cuz i'm changing wheels. I can get the fender roller tool for like $75

I went to the honda dealership today and they didn't have anyting to say about my alignment. So i'm guessing that the #s he gave me from the other shop was a fluke in the machine. Who knows.

@nxtfit_08 I thought i recognized ur car from some of the Orlando sonic meets. Me and a few of the guys from texas are supposed to be coming down to orlando at the end of this month to hang out and meet up with you guys. Then u can see my drop and tell me what u think.

yea, what they said. 20 degrees is a lot, you'd see that with your naked eyes. think about this, 90 degrees is a complete right angle. 20 degrees is a little less than 1/4 that. do you have a scan of your alignment printout?

if i remember right, the range of toe for the rear is something to 0.20 or in that vicinity. i can't find my papers. maybe you mistakenly read one of the numbers wrong?

Did you specifically ask the dealership for an alignment? To the best of my knowledge it's not part of the 30K mile checkup. However if your wheel actually was 20 degrees off they definatley would have told you. Either the place you went first has an idiot as a mechanic or they told you/you heard wrong. No way ANYONE isn't going to notice 20 degrees. I'd guess 2 at most. And it's probably not even that, maybe .20 or 1.2

It sounds to me like your springs or shocks are too soft then. You're really not that low that they should be rubbing, even with 1 other person (+150-200lbs.) in the car.
