do what i did.

YOU wiggle the axle left and right.

have SOMEONE else turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and all the way to the right.

less than 5 minutes you'll get it.

I have done this with other fit owners and prove that it works quick lmao popped axles are nothing to me!

you should be able to just turn it all the way to the left and to the right. I havent heard any problems about it.

Just try it trust me. Have one person just turn the steering wheel back and forth all the way and i guess you would be wiggling the axle while pushing it in. Just move it around in different combinations and you'll get it. Put some muscle in it!

This happened to me, but only on the passenger side. I broke the factory clamp and slipped the cv boot off to see what I was working with. There are three bearings that have to line up exactly with the notches inside the axle. The bearings have to "push out" so to speak to fit in the notches and then it slides right back in. Make sure you repack with grease if you do end up pulling the boot off. There are special clamps to replace the clamp that you have to break. I got one from auto zone for 2.99. Make sure you don't use a hose clamp! Hope this helps!

It feels good, doesn't it? Now get some grease and the clamp made for cv boots (at any parts store), and then repack the inside with grease and put on the new clamp.

it does feel good, it seems i can't get the clamp to put together. it's too greasy outside the boot.

Yeah, it takes patience. Maybe grab a shop towel and get as much grease off as you can.

do you think zip tie will hold the boot in place? a substitute for boot clamp.

I would NOT use a zip tie. It wouldn't be any better than the boot being on there by itself.

haha i used zip tie with metal clamp. i also used zip tie because it hold on pretty tight and the metal clamp did not. i drove 2 miles came back and check the boot, no grease. =D

i would go to an auto parts store and get a clamp, because i used hose clamps, zip ties you name it on my old truck and blew um apart fairly quickly.. but you might need the sardine can tool to install the clamp properly..
