Buy upgraded shocks and keep my Tein springs or buy coilovers?

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I have a small problem. My car bounces all over the place and I think I need new shocks. I'm @ arond 70K+ miles on the ODO. I'm the type of guy that would like to upgrade a bit when parts need replacing. I would like to spend under a grand.

Here are some key factors:

I drive 120 miles a day so I need something comfortable and reliable.
I currently have Tein lowering springs.
I drive like a grandma.
I want to maintain my lowered look
I sometimes run staggered wheels that tend to rub in the back. So i need something that doesnt have much suspension travel.

Should I get upgraded shocks and keep the springs?
Toss in a few extra hundred and get a coilover setup?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

well if you dont drive crazy or anything shocks sound like a good idea. I hear not so great things about Tokico HPs but im sure it'll be a small increase over stock, they run under 400. I dont know exactly how much the T1R dampers cost but they sound like your best bet! If you really want coilovers Tein Basics or Enduratechs sound like a good idea if you want to maintain comfort

Speaking from experience. Based on what you describe and how you drive, the T1R's are beyond perfect for you.

I would go with coilover, they last longer and has applicable with spring and shocks.

If you want I am selling my megan coilovers. PM for more info.

On what basis would you even think a coilover last longer than a separate spring and shock/strut?

That's not what the post said. Yeah, I know he would like to sell his Megans. It takes awhile to sell some stuff on this site.

Anyone try those yet?

I can get a brand new set of Tein basics for $975. I think I'm likely going that route.
