Rear sway bar... is anyone working on one?
when i test drove the Fit, there was not much understeer in the first place, unlike all the other hondas.
this car actually felt neutral and balanced from the factory. but i'll get first-hand experience when gf gets her fit.
bigger sways, if not done correctly, can affect ur handling negatively.

Yes, I agree, the Fit is not as bad as other Hondas, but it still understeers. I work up at a tracking site in the mountains and have driven the same curvy, twisty road daily for the last 30 years. I've had an ITR, Civic Si's and recently a heavily suspension modded 993. My other car, presently, is an NSX. Trust me, the Fit could use a thicker/larger rear sway bar.
I agree, if not done right, any type of suspension work can screw up the handling.
Know where I can get a larger sway?

In another post, it was mentioned how the stock rear sway runs inside the beam. My Helm's manual hasn't arrived yet.
To add a sway, I imagine one has to install, in addition to the stock... not sure. That's why I'm asking to see if anything is already or will soon be available.

First and only mod I made to the base MINI Cooper that I just sold was to add a larger rear sway. The car changed from a cute grocery getter to a genuine canyon carver. The FIT's suspension is a tad softer than the base MINI, but a bit larger rear sway, I feel, will really unlock the car's potential to handle like the MINI or at least make it closer to neutral than it is now.
