Wilwood Big Brake Kit

I recently got some Wilwoods. Rotor size of 12.2 inches and 6 piston polished caliper. These bolted right on with minor hardline modification(bending with the hand.) I will soon have a rear kit to match the front. Braking distance significantly decreased and yet its not so overpowerful that you can't control it.

Yes I have the T1R rear kit and the Wilwoods will be mocked up for that. I'm testing out the Integra kit to see if it works. If others have the T1R kit already, then this would be a simple solution to get a stronger caliper with more disc. It's still a single piston, but I did not like the nissin caliper I'm using right now. It's a little weak and not strong enough to hold on certain inclines.

Thanks Felix, although sponsors are not everything. I've only gotten a few parts either free or cheaper. Most of my mods are my own sweat and money.

My shop I go to now sells Wilwoods. I'll let you guys know how my rear set-up turns out.

This is just a normal Integra/Civic kit for the older years like Integra 94-00 and Civic 92+. They come with 4 pistons normally and you'd have to specify if you want the 6 piston for an upgrade.

I run a 17x8 +32 offset. These brakes should fit most 16 inch wheels with offset around +40 and depending on the how the wheel spokes are.

Hmmm 2 piston? That's a small upgrade. I'd at least get a 4 piston. They seem to be around 800-900 around the net.

I installed the rear brake kit on Friday. First off, you may want a bigger master cylinder or it feels really awkward, I got used to it but its more like Mushy and then hard brake. The kit itself needed a couple of minor modifications with the T1R rear kit. The bracket for the caliper on the T1R kit needed a little trimming to fit the bracket from the Wilwood kit. Also the e brake cable adjustment was moved up one notch. I can explain if you've ever changed out the cables before already. Otherwise, the kit works with those minor modifications. Pulling up the ebrake is a breeze. I barely have to pull it up and it grips hard. I'll have pics later, just havent had a chance to take any.

Think it could be fixed by running a proportioning valve rather than running it through the abs motor?

Well it will need to run through the abs motor anyways. Unless I want to lose it. I am going to ask what Wilwood thinks about the mush and what can be done to fix it. A proportioning valve may be the solution, but I think the master cylinder is the fail part here.

Pic taken at the 512 Project from Hellaflush X Stanceworks. Not my pic btw, someone took it, no name given.

Haven't updated in a while. I rebled the brakes and found air trapped in 3 of the calipers. Now that the air is gone, it stops like a champ, no more MUSH! Rear parking brake works really good, just a couple of clicks and its very tight.
