These kits are $50 shipped and i'm not sure if you'll get flashed or not. It really depends on the what city because the glare isn't too bad.

what is the procedure of installing these?

Or are they plug and play just like a regular light on the fit?

Nope not getting flashed, I had to lower the headlights a bit because i raised my normal headlights a lot before, you can look up the DIY on that on fitfreak.

Pretty easy to put on, most difficult part is to unscrew ur front bumper halfway then pull of the clips so ur bumper is just hanging low enough so u can take out ur headlight housing.

Once that's out, u take out your old bulb, then on the rubber piece that was holding the original bulb in, trim the inner hole so it's a bit of a bigger circle so the HID can fit in that hole. Find a place to mount the ballasts, and make sure u plug in everything and put ur headlights back together.

That's just the basics of the installation to go in more depth you'd have to ask the workers or ask someone to help you out.

That does not sound too bad. Has anyone done a DIY for these yet?

Do you miss the highs? But that would need to be qualified by where you drive...if in the city only, then you can never use them anyway. I've got to do a lot of driving in rural areas where there are no street lights and I would think that hi beams are necessary...well at the speeds that I drive anyway.

most of the time when fitting HID into regular reflector housing it will have some glare, is pointless to ask whether it blind others or not, because it always will in some way. heck, even if you go projectors, it will be so bright that it still blinds others compared to the traditional halogen bulbs (just look at all those BMW with HID head-on).

only thing you can do, it to aim it slightly lower (1-2 degree) to compensate the added glare.

This is by far the most important factor! I pretty much use my high beam just for that!!
