Winter Tire Sizes

I've got a 2015 fit and 6 or 7 years ago I bought a set of 185/70R14 winter tires and wheels from Tire Rack. Now I need new ones and I'm not sure if it makes sense to swap the 185/70R14's for a set of 175/70R14's, or stick with the 185's?

The oem all season size is 185/60r15, so the 175/70R14s are a closer match for overall diameter (0.1" smaller), but I don't mind the slightly larger (0.5") 185/70R14s I had previously. Will the 175s be any better in the snow or anything or should I keep the size the same and get another set?

They both say they can fit a 6" rim.

These tires are so skinny alread, the little tiny bit of extra width the 185s offer, would seem to be a good thing to me. That extra sidewall height of the 70 probably helps your ride as well, if they didn't rub great.

I use the same size tires. Just winter spec versions. Studs are nice if you live in the deeper areas.
