Probably Been Asked. 13's?

I actually knows its been asked. I searched (didnt go into detail) but I couldnt find any info. I remember a thread about winter wheels and someone asked about putting 13in wheels on the Fit.

Well.... will it Fit? Some may wonder why I want to "downgrade?" Not really a reason, I want 13's. ;)

thats so weird! ive always seen people goin higher inches but you goin lower haha. 13's wont fit in my opinion due to the brakes. Heck, 13's are what my parents golf car's rollin with...

I have been eyeballing the Civic VX wheel at 5# and wondering this same thing.

:D Thats the spirit.

Ive had my eyes on Hx's which are 14's. Only thing about Hx's is they have a HIGH offset. Almost OEM (55) and they do not clear brakes on Civic/Tegs. Im pretty sure the spokes would hit put calipers. The Fit has some decent sized calipers for the car.

I actually have my eye on some BBS 13x6's with a 11-13mm offset.

Ill swipe some 13in steelies at my job. Test them

takumi project has some used JDM wheels that are small...:o i will check to see if they still have the GABs that are 14x6 for $600:D

Cool wheels, always wanted a gold "honeycomb" set on my W123 Benz years ago.

I would go on and grab them, with BBS's financial troubles, they may be collector's items shortly!

I think Im going to get them.
I test fit a 13in steel wheel from a CRX. It didnt fit very WELL. However it is a steel wheel and theyre designed very different from a regular rim. Not to mention the Mahles are a German wheel and theyre known for a completly flat inside dish.

I asked the person selling the wheels to take rear shots of the rims. Also if he could measure from each side of the rim as deep inside the rim as he could.

I measured the front brakes. From the dust gaurd to the caliper its a little over 11.5 inches.

those are sick wheels.if it works your fit is gonna look good.

Raaaaaaaaaay. Jun 4, 2007 07:10 PM

Well, the guy emailed me back about the wheels. Rear diameter is only 11in.
Guess they wont fit, unless I shave down the calipers.

Or buy a BMW 320i, just for the wheels of course! Note that 14 and 15 inch were available also.....

Yea I know. Ive seen some go on Ebay. The 14's are more common I think but theyre normally 5x100.

I'll find me a set. :D

Ah, forgot about that bit....a lot of Mercs had these wheels back in the day....maybe I do need the W123 in a friends back garden afterall?

I keep forgetting that a lot of these cars are older than the posters on this forum.....feeling my age now.:(

fits_all Jun 4, 2007 09:47 PM

i dont know where i just read it, but there was this page that sells wheels quote: "Do not buy smaller wheels for your car, for example, if your car has factory 18's go with aftermarket 18 inchers or higher"
dont know if it meant something to be worried about...

Not to threadjack to 14" but my stock Fit rims are "offset 55" so wouldn't the HX rims be OK?

I was actually told about these yesterday, no they wont fit. Offset is WAY too high and the way the rims are designed the calipers will hit the spokes.
