I am confused. I went to replace my 185 55/16 tire for the 09 Fit sport with a set of 4 more readily available 205 55/16. I have a friend who has lots of barely used tires for cheap. A set of 4 205s would cost as much as only one 185.
One Honda dealer says fine and another says if I put larger or smaller tires on the car could possibly stress the transmission and cause problems down the line. That scared me. Would someone please clear this up for me?

No you need 205/50/16 not 55

They can be found for cheap and are almost the same overall diameter as stock...thus they will not change, stress or effect anything in a negative way.

5Zigen wheels

I just grabbed a "new" set of 5Zigen Super 6 wheels...17", which I will put on the car in spring, just for a change. If anyone is in the Toronto Area, hit up Bell Chan @ BC Auto & Design. Great wheels, great prices, and great service. And no--I don't work there!
