Fixed my Rubbing issues! Heres how.
WOW, another one!!
Dumbest move going "adjusting" your suspension without getting an alignment to check your results. Guess you did the alignment by the "Eyeball method" or you just don't care that you alignment is out of spec. your ignorance of mechanical workings of a vehicle is showing badly.

Is that a threat to another member? Any member has the right to comment on threads posted on fitfreak why does even JUSTIFIED criticism of your work get you going on banning people???? You posted this up so you have to want people to criticize your work.
I bet your father doesn't know you did this "Modification" to his Fit if he knew what you were planning he wouldn't condone doing something as unsafe as this.
For safety sake now is the time to go to your father and do the father son thing and say "dad just trust me on this one and I will Tell you what I did some day at my stag party." Then tell him "Dad your fit NEEDS a wheel alignment NOW" and to have to wheel alignment place check and see if the pinch bolts are tightened to the required 51 foot lbs of torque needed it would be a shame to be driving with your family in the car and hear "plink plink" and have the pinch bolts fall out onto the highway.
He may not know now but the next time he drives you to a meet I'm SURE one of the members will point out to him your "brilliant DIY work".
This is a grown up world if you do not want ANYBODY critiquing your threads then it's simple don't post them for the world to see and take any comments pro or con as they come. Why would we have to treat you any different from any other grown up on the forum?

Like we have been discussing in other posts you need to look up the word ignorant and you will find it is NOT a pejorative.
I'd LOVE to meet you!!!
You NOt only have a SMall man complex... but can't read as well...check it, that's Pejorative!!!

Keep it clean guys, no need to flame. We can all make nice comments, don't need to get so angry and hateful over small comments (both sides!!!).
BTW, ignorance is BLISS!

Just to let everyone know, when this mod was done i was at my friends(ciburris)house/garage. He is a LONGTIME mechanic, he has been working on cars pretty much all his life and knows what he is doing. Before we did these things to my carm they were done weeks before on his car. I trust that he knows what hes doing more then i trust you claymore.
I dont know if you guys think when i do stuff to my car that i sit at in my garage and screw with my brand new car without any permission. I never have/will do that. All the things i do are under the supervision of a expirinienced mechanic. I do appreciate the concern.

I hope my post helps you fix your rubbing issues, if you ever run into any in the future!

As some of you know my new Buddy Club wheels have been having some rubbing issues over bumps and hard corners. They are +35offset, 15x6.5 and im running stock Fit Sport Dunlops which are 195's. The rubbing was driving me NUTS! Im going to explain what i did to stop the rubbing for everyone who is/will be running wheels/tires with similar specs.
First/easiest thing i did. Pulled out the fender a bit, just tugged on both sides and they moved about a 18th of a inch and belive it or not did make a diffrence in how much/hard i was rubbing.
Second thing. Took both front rims off and with out getting camber bolts lossened it up and adjusted as much negative camber we could get with out bolts, then tightened it up so it stayed. Made a pretty large diffrence, and is really easy thing to do. Plus its free!
Third and final thing. Ok when you feel in your wheel wells right about the tire you feel these clips that stick out, i was rubbing on those hardcore! While adjusting the camber we noticed my passenger side clip was gone(must have fell off on a hard bump). So we went to a local hardware store and got clips the same size but instead of having a square head that stuck out(what i was rubbing on mostly), it had a very flat round head. It popped right in on the passenger side, so we went to the drivers side, popped that one out and put in the new flat one!
Viola! Rubbing gone with out spending more then 10$! I can take turns as fast as i want no rubbing, and hit HUGE potholes(not that i like to)and not rub a bit!
So for anyone wanting a aggressive offset 15' wheel and is lowered, heres how you can stop the rub!
*I was only rubbing in the front, never once rubbed in the rear(yet). Also note, im lowered on Progress Springs*

Yup. Definitely an alignment would be a good idea, otherwise your tire wear is going to be uneven and your tires will look funky

While excessive camber could wear the inner edges of the tire, it is toe setting that tends to cause irregular or excessive tire tread wear.
Adjusting ride height can affect alignment settings- whether camber (likely with a drop) or toe settings.
Adjusting camber even a little (by eyeball) can help clearance but is risky to affect toe settings. An alignment is always a good thing to do once all adjustments to suspension are finished. A small toe change is not a big deal but sometimes it's significant enough to mess with handling or tire wear.
Toe settings are adjustable for front and rear for most cars but some will have trouble and be less adjustable but you may never know unless alignment is checked. Some new stock cars have misalignment when bought and you don't know unless you check, don't assume all is good just because you don't know anything is wrong.
Using the stock camber bolts (2 each side) at the bottom of the stock shock mount to adjust will only give a little wiggle room but it might be enough. An alternative would be to use a slightly smaller diameter crash bolt from Honda (from the Civic) for more adjustment (about -0.8 degrees possible but results vary from side to side vs -0.2 in stock). Even -0.9 degrees in front camber is very usable for the street and no big problem with tire wear. Camber bolt kit would give you a little more adjustment range but it costs more.
Tool,
Thanks for your post on how your were able to quell the rubbing.
