15's, 16's, or 17's

hey guys,

I'm farly new to the forum, and i have a '07 nhbp fit sport. i'm lookin at gettin some shoes for her and dont know what to go with. i've seen alot of hot fits on here with different sizes of shoes and they all look good. i just dont know if i want 15's, 16's, or 17's. i think i want something in gold or white. if i could get some opinions that would be cool.
thanks jj

Im a big fan of 15's, i like 16's, i HATE 17' and higher(usually). The only wheels i like on the Fit that are 17's are Advans. Id go 15's though, cheapest, lightest and look good.

Depends on what your gonna use the car for. If you want to auto-x or want really spirited driving go for 15s or 16s. If you are going for the look then go with 17s. It also depends on if your lowered and if you care about rubbing or not. If you post up what your intentions are with the car im sure it will be easier for us to post opinions for you.

well right now the car is just a daily driver and something to have fun with. i agree the advans are the nicest. those are the wheels that make me want 17's. i know that i can't afford them at the moment though. i am going to lower it soon, just on springs for now. nothing too serious, 1'' or 1.5''. just something to get the stance down.
thanks for the input.

If your looking for rims at a decent price go to Konig, Rota Dealer: Buy Low Priced Suspension, Interior, Exterior, Exhaust, Intake Auto Parts: JLB Motorsports, Corona. They dont sell advans but they have a nice selection at rock bottom prices. Maybe that will help you decide

15s, another reason i love the fit, it can get away with rocking 15s and still look good, cheaper wheels=cheaper tires, and also light weight.

I got my rims from them and they were awesome they threw in hubcentric rings for free.
As far as size this is what I think:
-17's look the best hands down.
-15's look god and you can use your stock tires
-16's Are the best of both worlds
In the end it depends on what you want. I have 16's and love them. Especially since the roads in Dallas are not the best. Still though every time I look at SD_MR_FIT's I want 17's

Depends on what kinda ride you want. 17 look good, but they can have a pretty harsh ride on bumpy roads. I've accidentally curbed mine on a pothole, but lucky me, there's no dents on the wheel. I still kept stock 15 and they're are pretty slick, but they feel the same way. They're just a little quieter on bumpy roads. But you can't feel the ride as much as the 17s. It's up to you to decide on which one fits your driving style. Although, IMO you can't go wrong with the Advans. Good luck!

i threw some 17" volk te37s on mine and i love the way it looks (with the tein s-tech springs) and i havent had any rubbing issues with mine so far
Since this is just my daily driver i like the way the 17's look
but like everyone is saying 16's is the best of both worlds

17's look the best IMO on stock suspension. IF you are planning on a drop or have one already then i would be looking at 16's. If you plan on some "spirited" driving then 16 or 15's are your best bet. Just remember that there are times that you lose weight in the rim, but pick it back up in the tire.

Not really. It ends up filling out the wheel well pretty good. The car is higher, but it makes it look lower just because of the smaller tire/fender gap.

...ok, in all fairness the profile does look a bit high though.

We've had better luck with DiscountTireDirect.com for lower cost but good wheels. You can try TireRack.com but they are costly.
We like 205/40x17 on 17x7/42 mm wheels at stock ride height. The 40 aspect tires relly offer significant response improvements with little penalty in ride stiffness. And they don't rub. If you lower, go 45 mm offset wheels.

thanks guys for all ur input.i think that i will try to go with some 15's or 16's. i like that they are lighter and do have a lower price point. i do like the way they look too. i still think that i want to go with white or gold on the nhbp.
