will these fit with no rubbing, with 195/50 and progress springs? how about with the 205?

 

you can probably get away with the 195's.... 205's will rub.

Yes, you will rub even with 195 if you are lowered.

Stick with 42 mm offset min or 45 min if lowered on 195's and probably 205's depending on your lowering. But 35's are OUT.

 

its only a 15x6 rim though. i think he could get it away with 195 tires and still be good. just depends on which tire though.

 

I'm on 15x7 +36 wheels w/ 195-55 on them and I get MINOR rubbing in the rear. It is only if I hit a very large bump that causes the rear to compress dramatically. I am fairly certain that once I roll the rear fenders and stiffen up the springs this won't occur anymore.

 

I wouldnt recommend fender rolling for minor rubbing. Fender rollage looks bad at resale. Plus how long do you plan on keeping the wheels you have on there, if your like me you will probaly end up changing them and who knows if fender rollage in needed for your next set. If its minor i say just live with it, i belive rollong the fenders does worse damage then minor rear rubbing.

15 x6 or 15 x7 with a 35 offset is still going to put the outer egde of the rim in the same place. the narrower width will just give you more room on the back side of the rim. i have 15x7 +38 with the stock sport 195, dropped on df210 and i rub on the back.

I can guarantee you it wont rub so long you dont get silly size tyres
205 on a 6" is super fat doughnuts.

 

well good luck to you, i tried 15x6.5 and 15 x7 both with 38 offset and rubbed in the same spot with both of them with the same tire.

 

weird because i was on ls meshies with 205/50 and 205/55 and i didnt rub a bit.

but on that note...yall that have the df210s do sit a bit lower in the back then i do.


but right now im on 17x7.5 45 offset. 205 tires and i only rubb on the front right, and im now cut 2 coils.

i hit the bumper in the rear when i have a full load...but thats about it.

 

While the offset matters a great deal, the tread width hasn't changed that much between 195 and 205 tires.. If you 'push' the wheel out from the hub from 53 stock offset to 38 mm (0.6") the tread width, where it rubs, moves with the wheel so the tread edge 'pushes' out 15 mm too. And thats pretty much going to rub.

try putting a 5/8" block on the hub and place the stock wheel against the block and you'll really see the difference. Not driving nitwit.

If you want to stay out of rubbing stick with 42 mm minimum offset on stock ride height or 45 mm if you lower.

 

I am in the same situation. I am contemplating the purchase of some 15x6.5" Desmond Regamaster EVOs wihich have a 35 offset. They would be mounted on the factory size tire but they are Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. I currently have Eibach springs. My concern is I don't want to drop that kind of coin on them and have the wheels damaged or the tires shread apart while I drive. Would this be a bad purchase??????
