painting stock lug nuts
painting stock lug nuts
is there any way to paint the stock lugs (with wheel locks)? i want to paint mine blue to match my car but i think that the paint would just get screwed up when i put em back on or take them off. i wish they had some different colored lugs that fit the stock wheels but i dont think they do. o and what does anyone think of these wheel caps for the center of the wheels?
i think that they would look kinda cool if they fit.

ive painted tons of stock lugs. go to kragen or autozone. they have this paint that's made to go over chrome. comes in red yellow and blue maybe. or you can get stained glass paint. works well.
and it wont chip off or anything?
just be nice when installing the lug nuts. you shouldn't have a problem.
CLEAN THE LUGS before painting. let them soak in bleach and dry them off really well. wouldn't hurt to warm them up with a heat gun or blow drier

do i need to sand them down or anything? or just clean and shoot? and why havnt i seen one person on this whole forum that has painted the lugs on stock wheels? i would have figured a lot of people would color coat there cars by painting there stock lugs

good question. i don't personally like that kind of look, so that's why i haven't done it.
You could also spent a little more money and have them powder coated maybe?
Not sure what it would do to the size of the lugs? The original socket may not fit anymore.

naw i would like to do it myself. im short on money and just trying to find to make my car look a littler better without spending much money. so what would i need to do first to paint them? do i need to sand them or anything?
