Offsets on the Fit

Just wondering what is the lowest kind of offset I can use without the wheels sticking out of the arches.
I want my new rims to fill the arches nicely.
Its going to be lowered around 35mm, and I dont want to modify the arches, just want the wheels to fill the standard arches nicely.
Hope someone can give me some advice!

The lowest i have laid hands on is 45 mm lowered and with 205/45x16 or 205/40x17 tires. Nothing else worked without interference. And for lowered I'd most recommend the 205/45x16's.
