I don't think it is hating (well not from that me I think) it is more that we're watching out for the safety of members on this board. Like I mention on my first post even I was tempt by the dirt cheap price of the their rims but you know I can't put a price on my safety.

Thats true you cant put a price on safety but I think people are spouting opinions as facts. Its their opinion that rotas break, crack and are an unsafe wheel to run. Its my opinion that more people run rotas then any other brand of wheel, especially on hondas. The fact that we dont see more failures considering the amount on the road is enough for me and others to put our trust in them.

And yes I know there was a bad batch of rota boosts back in 2003. Its my understanding that those who had failures had their wheels replaced free of charge.

Because I can afford the JDM 1337ness now, ever priced out a 18x9 Volk? I never said I prefered Rotas over Volks. There are some advantages to having big name wheels, mainly weight savings. You should change your signature to "Why do import owners like rotas so much?".

no....

if you put rotas on in a 240 community, then you're done for with that community....

i'm sure a lot of people that have passion for cars will think like me and support the companies that came up with the design and quality to match it....

so, there won't be a second company like greddy....

SAVE JDM BY BUYING JDM, not EbayDM!

Let's just say I learned my lesson with my first car. Trial and error really teaches you how to do it right the next time around.

If your concerned about what other people or a community thinks then I you and I are modifying for different reasons.

At the same time I can respect that you support the companies that came up with the designs we all love. For example a japanese company which will remain unnamed stopped making a particular model of carbon fiber hood because Seibon more or less cut them out of the market for their own design, thats wrong. As you know some people cannot afford the real deal and its nice that there are companies willing to make a product of the same or close too the same quality for a fraction of the price.

When i have the money to spend on real parts I always do but there are some places where its okay to cut corners, and it isn't right for you to bash on people for not wanting to spend 4x the price for wheels on a economy car which will probally never see the full benefit of these JDM parts. Let people do what they want and stay out of their business, its pretty obvious we're all in this scene for different reasons and this thread isn't the place to be passing judgement.

exactly...

im not saying you're wrong...

i'm just stating the facts that Rotas are pieces of shit cast together...

i don't think my fit is an economy car.....

i can take 60 - 80 mph in a corner with my fit....

that almost as quick as my s13....

this car's handling is beyond belief...

Not sure why people say rotas are so bad, My bro has the 16" circuit 8s on a 2000 civic si that is lowered with a racing suspension setup and he takes it to the track--no problems yet. I've being in the car on public roads where he has hit some major ass jarring potholes. Hmm maybe a overly goofy strong set .

No problem.

As for Cerritos I am still fairly new to this area. Well maybe not too new, I moved out for almost 5 years now lol.

rota adhere's to the same quality manufacturing standard that oem wheel makers do. its neccessary for them to do buisness.

or are you an employee at their factory?

...if you tracked with oem honda wheels, and they broke, you would proclaim them unsafe? racing wheels are engineered for just that:racing. because it demands more.

and even if 95% of the fit community 'can't handle the truth', then here is something for you to handle: 95% of the fit community doesn't TRACK their fit.

and if the 240 commuinity throws you out for rocking rotas than eff them.

the sti community has NO problems with it.

rotas are not fake wheels last time i checked. your car can roll on them and you can mount a tire on them.

and for every cracked rota on the track, there are 50 guys running them with no issues.

that picture is in circulation all over the net. i'm pretty sure i can find some cracked volks for you too.

OH! and one more thing: your fit is still an economy car, it just so happens to be one that handles well. that's what makes it cool.

and taking corners at those speeds on the street only shows a lack of intelligence, not an excess of experience. (go ahead and counter with 'i was at the track! not at the street!')

and 'save jdm by buying jdm'? i'm all for not supporting knock off parts, but wheels and underhood are two different things.

i say save the honda community by throwing out the jerks.
