want to make stock rims look better

ok so hears the deal, i would like to keep the stock rims but dress up so they dont look like every VBP fit ever in town, i got the red H center caps and want to kinda keep the JDM red badge theme, i dont know if i shuld get them powder coated or just try painting them myself, i knew that there was a thread on here showing exactly how to paint stock rims with a red lip and i have no clue where it went. i saw fitcapos stock painted rims and really liked them but i didnt know how they would look on my car

I didn't find the thread for the one you were talking about but I had this thread in my favorites. Hope it helps. It's in the 2nd Gen forum.

With a VBP me thinks you should powder coat white with red stripe, I always liked that white on blue color combo The black and red stripe is starting to get played out to death!

VBP w/ black stockers.
I recently played myself out with the red pinstriping since I was bored. I also got red Autobot emblems for the centercaps.
It's an easy job, just gotta be patient and do one wheel at a time. It's a good coat of self-etching primer, 3 coats of black wheel paint (autozone) following the can's instructions, and then a few good coats of clearcoat. They've held up for 24K miles/1.5 years...

first, paint your calipers black,
then murder your rims out,
and get some cheap used springs, and CUT the FCUK out of them.
then your fit will be dope sauce

These turned out better than I imagined! Agreed with the others, forget the pinstriping and leave them as they are. My two cents
