Fender Mods For Running Lower Offset w. Pics...

Recently had to get my fenders rolled and pulled for my new wheels.
I thought I would post some pics so those wanting to do it can see.
This will not be a diy but more of what needed to be done.
I never done any fender work so paid someone else with a lot of experience to do it for me. If you're in SoCal pm me and I can give you his number.
With rolling/pulling of the fenders you can now run lower offset wheels which open up the option for more wheels.
Specs on suspension and wheels:
I'm on Skunks c/o with the rear set to the lowest with one of the adjusting collar removed. The front been set to get rid off fender gap and even with the back.
My wheel specs are 15x7 front and 15x8 rear with 26 o/s all around.
Running on 195/50 Falkens with a mild stretch in the rear due to the wheels being 8" wide.
Alignment are set to stock in the front done at West End Alignment.
Back are nonadjustable so left as is.
If you run negative camber and/or stretch tires then of course that will help with clearance or less pulling of the fenders for lower offset/wider wheels.
Enough yak onto pics.

Didn't get any measurement of the front.
Only the back.

You can see from just rolling the fender lip how much extra space is created.

As you can see I had been rubbing from the piece of the fender lining that was removed.

Hopefully this will be useful to some members and allow people to run wheels that they want instead of settling for something "safe".

Where the hell do u get that fender roller machine from. Any suggestions on where to take it? My back tires rub on stock height and i only got a +35 offset on 205-50-15 tires. Ive tried rolling them with the baseball bat and it was all bad. Paint chipping and all that jazz. I wuld like to do it right some day.

I dont see how the basball bat technique should not work if time is taken.
Anyone have SUCCESS with the bat technique. Please post because I am so worried about buying rims that will rub that I am considering painting my alloy stockers. Not that there is anything wrong with that?

I think you can rent one at tire rack or I could be wrong, maybe do a search in your area.

Quick search on ebay show several listings for the Eastwood roller. It's pricey except for one which is for a used unit.
My fender guy also used this to crimp the front fender lips flush against the inside of the fenders:

Xonexlifex did you use a heat gun to heat the paint before rolling the fenders?
If you don't then the paint will crack/flake off for sure.
Even through my paint was heated I still have some cracks on the front fenders which I touched up with paint.
I think you're rubbing against the rear bumper mounting tabs. You could just cut it off and use a zip tie like I did.

I personally think the fender roller is better then a basball bat. Main thing is the roller is secure to the wheel studs and dosn't wiggle around like the bat.

nope i didnt heat the fenders, i didnt even think of it, i have to use some more touch up paint to get it so the paint doesnt chip too much, i was too in a hurry bec mine rubbed so bad. but it got done and i dont rub much anymore, but ya the rolling machine wuld be sooooooooo much better but i just couldnt find one to rent or know where to go, ya im guna have to shave the mounts off and use zip ties.

It'd almost be worth getting some used/refurbed fenders off ebay and rolling them off the car. If they get cracked paint then you always have you're high offset oem's

I only rub the front fender lining plastic retaining clip at the very front. This is very rare and only happen at speed above 70 over very big ass bumps (imagine going over a speed bump at 70+). No rubbing against the fenders ever or liners otherwise.
