Enkei RPF1 15x7

Hi Everybody, some of you might remember me from all the random questions I've been asking and I thank you for your help. My cars coming around nicely, I've recently purchased some enkei rpf1's and they're amazing. I'm wondering what would be some good performance tires to compliment these amazing wheels? Thanks again.

I've read that Texas Coyote runs General Exclaim UHPs on his GD with RPF1s. I think they're 195/55/15, weight is about 17lbs per tire. Perrenoud Fit runs Continental ContiProContacts in the same size, at the same weight on his Enkeis.

The Generals are more handling-oriented summer-rated tires whereas the Contis are low-rolling-resistance all-season models for better fuel economy and passable light snow/ice use. You can get stickier tires but they'll be heavier, or wear quicker, or be more expensive, or some combination of those three...

Your wheels are around 8lbs lighter than stock GD Sport wheels, and either of these tires is another pound lighter than the 195/55/15 Dunlop SP31 A/S that came on that model. Total (unsprung - the best kind) weight savings is between 36-40lbs!

From my research on performance tires I would recommend Yokohama S Drive, Fuzion ZRI, or Dunlop Direzza Star Spec(not just the regular Direzza since that is a lower level i.e. all season tire).

I would recommend Yokohama S.Drives as a daily friendly tire that's both sticky enough for spirited driving and affordable as well.

Kumho Ecsta SPTs are pretty good too - good grip, great in the wet, very quiet. Not very pricey either. I think it's better to get them in 195/50 though as the SPT lineup generally has taller sidewalls compared to other tires of the same size.

Tire weight at 195/55 is roughly 16 lb. apiece

Kumho Ecsta SPTs are even harder-wearing at 340 treadwear.

I have ran all kumhos for the entirety and lifespan of my 6th gen accord... bang for buck, kumhos are great but the walls are just too weak imo.

Believe him when he talks about sticky tires.... I tried to keep up with him and lost both ends of my car at once on one of the curves.
