Looking at getting some new tires. Opinions wanted
Hey guys, first post. I drive a 2009 Sport. I find i need new tires after putting 40,000 on my originals. So here's what i'm looking at....
1) Yokohama AVID ENVigor (H+V) - 205/50R16
2) Kumho Ecsta ASX - 195/50R16
3) Kumho Ecsta ASX - 205/50R16
Anyone have any experience with any of these?
Pros/Cons?
Others i should consider?
I'll be using the stock wheels and i live in Atlanta,GA so i'm basically looking for decent All-Seasons.
Thanks

I have had both tires on my cars in the past. The Yokohamas are my favorite and those are the ones I have on my Fit and my wife's Mazda 5. The Kumhos are also nice tires, they are noisier than the Yokohamas and track straighter and are better in the snow. But they are not as good in the rain and through turns.

I have a little over 24,000 miles on my 2007 Fit and I am ready for these Dunlops to go bye bye! I am going in the morning to try to find something that will work. It is impossible to find any Toyo, Yokohoma tires in our area. Hoping to find something that will be good in all weather but not loose any of the handling on the car.

I had the Kumho ASX for a short time and thought they were OK all seasons, not spectacular in any way but decent for the price.
I destroyed them on a road course about a month later though lol
I would say Bridgestone 960AS Pole position but I don't see them in your size. I loved those tires in the rain.

I went out this morning on my tire search again and finally found a shop that can get the Yokohoma Avid Envigor - it is between them and the Michelin Pilot Exalto - I am researching on the internet this weekend and ordering on Monday. I am leaning towards the Yokohoma's.

I just got 4 new replacements for my Dunlops last week. Got the Michelin Exalto M/S from TireRack and am VERY happy with them. Michelin runs periodic rebate offers and now has $70 rebate for a set of 4 tires. Total cost from TireRack including shipping to my local installer was $550. Local balancing, installation and disposal of old tires was $68. So my total cost after the rebate will be $548. Much quieter and easier steering than my old tires and also should be a big improvement in the snow come wintertime. The Yokohama Avids would have been my second choice.

Well falken 512 are my choice. Same size reccomended.. has these last year with the snow and they were awesome.plus on the street I have no traction issues. Going into corners are fun and I'm constantly pushing the tires harder and harder with very little.tire squeel. I'm also hearing the new falken 615rt series have been doing well. I will run these tires next set too on a wider wheel.

Ive had Kumho asx, toyo extenza hp, nitto neogen, and nexen 5000 on my fit, and to be honest the cheap all season toyo extenza hp are by far the best performing tire. Great wet and dry traction and theyre not bad in the snow as long as its not too deep.

The...
Avid Envigors are nothing like the T4's which were factory on my wife's Mazda. The T4's had us rock out of a grass parking spot in the rain because they were so bad. They are just as bad as the factory Dunlops if not worse. The Avid Envigor is a great tire...

I just ordered the Yokohoma's from a tire place this morning. The guy said he could have them in by Wednesday or Friday. I am taking Friday off to get ready for our next car show so I will post up first impressions after I get them rolling! I was happy to someone who could get them instead of telling me no sorry - we can't find any to fit your car.

I just had a great experience with Discount Tire Direct. They were quite a bit cheaper than Tire Rack since the shipping was "free".
I took the tires over to Wal-Mart (gasp) where the guys at the tire and lube center actually did an excellent job putting them on.
