Do I need LoJack

I just picked up an 08 Fit Sport and I bought LoJack. The dealership (stealership) charged me $635, which came out to $12 more a month.

Question: Does LoJack work, do I need it in Miami, and is it too late for me to get my money back from the dealership? I drive approximately 80 miles a day to-and-from work and my office is located in the East Hialeah ghetto on 950 SE 12th ST (I apologize if you live around there).

Future plans for my car are bronze Work Emotions dropped on springs.

Depends. Do you thing someone's going to steal your spare keys and take off with your car? Do you think someone's gonna tow your car to steal it? If so, then I would get LoJack. Otherwise, it'll be hard for car thieves to just jump the circut when there's an immobilizer installed. The only way I know is to hack the immobilizer system. But it'll probably take hackers hours, or maybe days to get the signal right. LOL, you're gonna definatly call the cops if you see a guy sitting in your car for couple of hours unless they know the key code.

i got a lowjack installed in my car for about the same price. The main benefit is that if it ends up getting stolen i get $5000 dollars from them, thats on top of whatever insurance will give me for it. Also my insurance company gives me a discount for having it in my car, about $35 a month discount so i guess im saving a little money in the end.

I was going to canceling it until you said you save $35 a month. I have Allstate but they didn't call me back. I have an S2000 and i'm trying to figure out how much I'm going to pay for both a month. What about gap insurance. Finance guy hit me up for that too.

GAP will cover you if you total the car and you are over your head in payments.

GAP will NOT cover you in many cases of at-fault or ANY alcohol related losses.

No one wants a Fit. What Id suggest is getting good wheel locks though.
Sport wheels are stolen often. The car is never really stolen. Theres nothing interchangeable.
